High prices, padded invoices, crooked quotes, simply put they cannot be trusted, they have absolutely no honor and you deal with them at great peril to yourself, your finances and your project so look else ware or be sorry later.

High prices, returns are impossible, rude staff and owner. Will never buy from them again.

We hired Hardwood Giant to install hardwood floors throughout our home in the summer of 2021. Everything was great at first. We loved the service, the work was good and the staff were great. Things took longer than expected, but being in the middle of covid that was not overly shocking.

Near the end of the project, we started to notice work quality decrease. We had paid to have the stairs to our basement changed, and they forgot about them. They came back and did the work, so no harm done. With the Job complete I left a review - that review was a 5-star review despite some small problems we had. We weren't happy with the trim work, but this isn't their main business so we didn't want to detract from the flooring work they did - but we did feel it was important to be truthful in our review so I included some criticism of it in my review. We even had their lawn sign on our lawn for months because we appreciated the work done.

Yesterday I reached out to Brian because we noticed a couple issues - our handrail on our second floor is out-of-level, and our basement stairs are fading after less than a year. His response was shocking:

" After your online review I refuse to discuss anything further with you.

You can contact my lawyer at Mills and Mills. "

Following that I changed my review to 1-star, and I tried to reason with him, but this was the response:

"Stop harrassing me and posting online. You even said in your previous online attack, you had to redo my work it was so horrible. That means you were the last to touch it. All of this is now a result of your own workmanship. I will have my lawyer contact you about this harrasment and defamation. "

I'm just in absolute shock. I did not ever suggest that we did any work on it, I did not "attack" anyone - I just shared an honest opinion. And now as a result I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on floors that the seller and installer refuse to support. I can't in good faith tell anyone to do business with this company anymore, and I'm deeply sorry if anyone read my previous review and decided to do business with them and got similarly burned.

Check them out with the Better Business Bureau. They are not accredited and with good reason. They have a clever business tactic. They show you a small sample in the showroom and then write a low quote to do the installation. They insist on a large deposit to secure the deal. Before the installation, a representative comes to your home to review the site. He finds all kinds of installation problems and re-writes the quote doubling the original price. You refuse the new price and demand your deposit back. Good luck. They’ll never return it without court action which takes time and money. Check out all the complaints at the BBB.

Anjum was great to deal with he was knowledgeable and courteous. I received the flooring on time and in good shape. When I requested more for another job he was very easy to deal with and responded quickly to my request. He honoured the pricing even when everyone is raising prices due to Covid 19.

We picked an engineered wood that had free installation included and we paid 3000 dollar advance. The gentle man at the location was very nice and promised that all the other items associated with installation like moulding etc are going to be reasonable.

Then came the person who did the measuring and the rest of the quoting. Price was not in anyway reasonable and now we are fighting to get our 3000 dollars back.

Please do not pick their installation service.

Anjum knew what I needed and on a time constraint, he made it happen so quickly, I couldn’t be happier!!! I had a short time frame, he did the estimate and got the installers to come and get it done, I’m so pleased!!! Please call Anjum if you need any flooring, you won’t be disappointed!!

We went into store to look at flooring. We were interested in a couple of flooring items. Were told we could put the flooring "on hold". They asked for a credit card which we believed was for the purpose of holding the item. We decided the next day - less than 24hrs later that we wanted to keep looking. We were told no you have to buy it, no refunds. The worst customer service! BBB has had many complaints about this company and this location.
