Hardwood Giant

DO NOT waste your time and money with Hardwood Giant. This company is unprofessional and unwilling to take accountability for their poor planning of my project. I booked a simple job to install vinyl flooring and resurface my stairs with oak treads. From day one they gave the wrong flooring to the installers and the custom stairs were not prepared nor was the stain. What was meant to be a 3 day job turned out to be 8 days late. The installer was also given the run around. They took NO accountability for not planning this job as it should have. Throughout this ordeal no one in the company took responsibility nor did they care to satisfy their customer. It was extremely difficult to speak to anyone and everyone that I was able to speak to pointed fingers at another and did not tell the truth.

I paid $5000 as a deposit for purchasing hardwood and the colour wasn’t matching my stairs. We called Maqbool at the Scarborough location and he promised to fix the problem. We have been chasing him for more than a month with no luck. I asked several sales persons and all of them said he has no right to do this. Please don’t purchase any product from that location

My basement floor got water damaged. I was looking for Vinyl flooring for my 2 bedrooms. I got good price for the vinyl flooring planks and more importantly, I was worried about installation as I had already suffered once due to water damage. The installation guy Abdul was great, did the job on time, cleaned and finished the work as per my satisfaction.

Company did great job previously on two bedroom in my house two years ago. This time there were major issues. Living room flooring was really well done, but on second floor things were not to the expected high standard that the company have shown they can do in the past. The railing on the second floor was removed and the stud holding it in place was also taken out and not put back in when the railing was reinstalled. Because of this I have to pay for another contractor to come in and reinstall a new stud.
Also several pieces of new flooring in the master bedroom were not fitted properly and there is squeaking when you walk in that area. Lastly the baseboard on the landing was taken out and after being reinstalled it popped out the day after it was fitted back in.
If These deficiencies had been noticed prior to the crew completing their work and If i had been aware I would not have signed off as being satisfied with the work done!.

The work crew was also very messy and on the last day, arrived at 10 am and left 15 minutes later and returned four hours later with no explanation on why they had left.

Overall I am very disappointed in this companies work and would not recommend them to any customers because of the inconsistent quality of their work.

I need laminate and was calling around different stores. I have called about 5 and no one picked up the phone. Until I called Hardwood Giant. I got Sam on the other end and he was very polite and helpful. An hour later I was in the showroom selecting the material.
They also carry trim at a good price.
Very good experience. Will be back for sure and send all my friends.

I made my first purchase with Hardwood Giant and I was extremely happy with the product and customer service, I strongly recommend.
The product was delivered on time and the installation was easy base on the quality of the product.

Installation was of poor quality. Installer was messy and left stains all over existing moulding which he nor company rectified. One step was not straight. HG inspected and have done nothing to rectify issues. This was a conversion of carpeted stairs to hardwood.

Anjum from the Burlington location is very knowledgeable sales person which will assist you thru all process. Starting with choosing the type of flooring and also color that will match your house. His knowledge gave me confidence to go all the way with my house upgrade and changing all the rooms and basement existing floors.
The installation team (Mehmet Team) was punctual and extremely skilled. Their work attitude was impressive thinking of the surface sqf and timing of completion. I would recommend Hardwood Giant to everyone as they are outstanding in all aspects.

We found a floor that we liked at the Brampton location and got a deal on installation. I asked about underlay, etc and was told it was all included in the cost. When the install team showed up they rolled out the underlay and demanded cash for it, then rolled it up and sat on our lawn for 2hrs while I argued on the phone. The whole day was a hassle and they left nosing unfinished and a big mess to clean up. We do like the floor, but I would look to get it elsewhere.
