Carpentry At Its Best

This review belongs to a work completed last summer, but after a year of enjoying the renovation, I wanted to share my appreciation. Niall and his team removed all existing siding from the exterior of my small cottage and installed new sidings, windows, and a pergola then. The entire team was friendly, quick, and meticulous. I couldn't have asked for more. I would hire the company again any day!

Carpentry at Its Best completed a full basement renovation for us in our home. Niall, our contractor, was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful to us every step the way. He took great pride in his work, making great suggestions to help with our design choices. His crew were very punctual, polite and hard-working. We are extremely happy with how our basement turned out and have been getting many compliments from friends and family who have seen it. Niall and the team at Carpentry at Its Best made our first-time renovation experience enjoyable and stress-free and we plan to work with them on future renovation projects in our home!

Work was completed on time and they were very professional and accommodating to our needs. They did a fantastic job and we would highly recommend them.

I used Niall about 5 years ago to replace a heritage wooden porch with exacting requirements and also to replace an awning on the house. His work looked so good and held up so nicely that I just completed more jobs including fencing, interior moldings and more that came out great. They are efficient, pleasant to deal with and most importantly do quality work. No hesitation to recommend!

I needed variety of projects done around the house including building of two bookcases/shelves, installation of multiple doors including building couple custom doors, putting trim around doors and closets, installation of attic hatch and some water shutoff hatches.
Niall and his team were prompt, efficient, and completed work in a week on relatively short notice. Top quality work. Will hire them again for some external work in future.

Niall and his team were a pleasure to have in our home. They did a great job with the crown moulding on our main floor. Despite some of the challenges of working in a century home, they were able to make it all work and were very thorough and detailed with all of the work they did. We are very happy with the work they did and will definitely be in touch again for future carpentry needs.

Niall and his whole talented team were phenomenal to work with. Niall was exacting and precise in the project scope, details, and timelines. He and his team worked quickly, efficiently, and to a top-most quality. When we bumped into a major structural challenge on day 2, Niall was clear, direct, and creative without compromising safety, building code, nor my own client needs.

As a solo female living in a major city, one of the things I really valued was that never once did I feel concerned about any of the people on the renovation team. Further, Niall was above-board and treated me with respect.

Working with Niall, I learned he will not cut corners, mince words, or compromise on quality. I valued his no-BS approach to my project; it ensured that it was completed (including the unexpected extra project) before the deadline and within budget.

This is the second time we have used Niall and his crew. We completed a second floor addition and all of the demo, structural work, electrical, HVAC etc that came with that.

As before we appreciated his attention to detail, and his clear organization and planning. The job was completed in 4 months (on time) despite some brutal covid related supply chain issues.
