Building a home was our biggest project and we knew finding a good builder would be a critical factor for a happy ending. We started to search for a builder in February, 2013, prior to finding our lot to build the house on. We were after a builder who would keep us very involved in the process, but at the same time manage the project and the trades for us. We called and interviewed many builders, finally settling on the Balance Building Group in December, 2013.
We are happy to have selected Balance Building Group to be our builder, and it was pleasant working with Mauro and his team. We appreciate Mauro's knowledge, experience, guidance, patience, great advice and attention to the myriad of details. We really felt Mauro built our home just like he would have built his own house. He really cares, and tries at every step to save money for us and make sure we receive value for money.
He introduced us to many suppliers/trades that he trusted and felt comfortable using, but at the same time did not restrict us to just those ones. He encouraged me to pick the tiles from the stores I found on my own, and negotiated a great ‘builder discount’ price for us. He also allowed me to use a kitchen cabinet company I found at the Home Show, but only after he did a site visit and checked out the company’s quality himself. He is very easy to communicate with and replies to our phone calls/emails mostly within the same day.
After we moved into our newly built house, we received many compliments from friends, family, even strangers that stopped to talk to us in our front yard. While the builder’s sign was still in the front yard, there were countless times that people stopped, looked at the house and recorded Mauro’s contact information.
Despite some challenges, we are satisfied with the end result. Many thanks to the Balance Building Group!
