Mehmet was a most pleasurable tradesman to deal with. He installed my tankless water system and took the extra time to squeeze this job in before he left for vacation (a month). Can't say how much I appreciated this ! He was thorough and efficient and took the time to explain all the features of the model I chose, of which he helped me choose. Negating through a field of models that one does not know anything about was a huge help. I have the utmost respect for this man and his company, GVA Plumbing & Heating and would recommend Mehmet to anyone looking for a plumber/gasfitter in a heartbeat. GVA Plumbing & Heating will be my go to always now.

Mehmet came in promptly on time. Great person to have around. Knows his plumbing. Work was great. Came back promptly to fix a very small problem that wasn’t there when he left but showed up later. Fixed quickly! had a few good laughs too. I found mehmet through my contractor who paid the trades.

I have called around for prices for install of an undermount sink. So many places have quoted astronomical prices it was crazy, even some companies saying they need to send 2 people out to do the job and can take at least 4 hours. I called GVA plumbing and he provided me a quote for the job with no hidden costs. Mehmet noticed that my garburator was rusting and even ran out to get a replacement for me. Even though things happened unexpectedly, and probably took more time then he anticipated but he made sure the job was completed. I was so happy with the work and how nice he was to deal with. I definitely would recommend him to anyone who is looking for an honest reliable plumber.

Mehmet is really excellent to work with, he is a very amicable guy and did everything he could to make sure we were satisfied with his work. Very knowledgeable and experienced and willing to offer ideas and advice to make sure the right job is done and the job is done right. We explored several options, he sent us documentation on his recommendations and we verified that the quote he was giving us was competitive and that his advice was backed up with solid reviews. I am pleased to be able to provide a positive review for GVA Plumbing. I needed to get a hot water tank installed and wanted to take advantage of the current Fortress BC rebates. I contacted several plumbers on Home Stars and received quotes from $1,500 to $2,500. Most insisted they supply the tank of their choice (only a 6 year warranty) and listed numerous extras.
From the moment I contact GVA Plumbing it was a positive experience. Mehmet has a great attitude and was very professional. I explained I had purchased a Rheem Energy Star tank with a 12 year warranty. We set a date and time to do the job. When the day came he arrived on time and was ready to go. I showed him the hot water tank and he proceeded to get to work right away. I was very pleased with his knowledge & certifications. Professionally trained as a plumber in Germany, Mehmet knew all the relevant building codes and had modern tools of the trade. After 40 years of doing my own home renovations it was a pleasure to finally have somebody in my house I was comfortable with and had confidence I was getting great value for service. He stuck to the quote provided from our first conversation and provided updates throughout the job on the improvements he did to meet new building codes. We used GVA Plumbing to re-pipe our house which was about 25 years old with Poly-B pipes, as part of the job we opted to renovate two bathrooms at the same time. GVA Plumbing (Mehmet and Taz) were a pleasure to deal with. They completed the plumbing work expeditiously, were friendly and easy to deal with, and they worked well with us in coordinating and accommodating schedules and job dependencies to help minimize the disruption on the family which was very helpful as we've got young kids.

We had a flood in our basement due to freezing of a poorly plumbed condenser drain line. We needed to have it re-plumbed to drain somewhere indoors but didn't have a floor drain to use and weren't sure how to approach the fix. Three other companies (including one we'd worked with before) blew me off (failed to call back or follow up after the first call to set an actual appointment), but the guys at GVA set an appointment right away, arrived on time, made really good suggestions for different options and performed the work quickly, professionally, and for a reasonable rate. As a bonus, the guys were really excellent to talk to (very friendly, respectful, and didn't treat me like I was helpless/dumb/non-technical, as so many in the past have).

We were looking to replace our old boiler and indirect tank system and did a lot of research. We knew what we wanted and called around for quotes. We then contacted Mehmet at GVA Plumbing after being referred to him.

Mehmet came and looked at our existing system and answered our questions. He presented different options but did not pressure or sell us on anything. Mehmet was very friendly and knowledgeable.

When we received his quote, we were totally blown away by how reasonable his rates were! We had 3 other quotes who were all priced similarly for the exact same model and labour costs.

After reading reviews of his work, it was a no brainer to go with Mehmet. He and his brother replaced the system and made sure everything was installed and set up correctly. We had questions the next day and Mehmet stopped by to make sure everything was working well. He was very professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. His quote was what we paid. No extra charges.

We are extremely happy with the service we received and that we saved a lot of money with GVA Plumbing.
