Floors Direct North

After visiting several hardwood flooring companies in the GTA and reading through homestar reviews, we decided to go with Floors Direct North to install flooring and replace some stairs. We were extremely glad that we did, because the whole process from start to finish was overall simply superb.

Whenever we visited the store, John was always extremely knowledgeable and patient with all of our questions. We were allowed to borrow samples to see which hardwood would suit our space the best. Ben then came to the house to do an estimate. He was very pleasant and friendly, and listened very carefully to our concerns. Ken and his crew did an impeccable job of installing the flooring and stairs. We could tell that they really cared about the quality of their workmanship. The flooring looks amazing!

Overall, just wanted to thank everyone at Floors Direct North for helping us with this reno. We will definitely be back for future projects. Thanks again!

We were recommended by a vendor we trust to use FloorsDirect North. After arriving, the sales staff was very helpful, understood our budget, material preference, and style, and helped us find a wide variety of products that fit the bill, with a range of prices. They worked with us to find a price that worked for us, delivered quickly (giving us the option of stores to pick up from). We are really happy with the finished product. We hired North Floors Direct for the third time ! They installed hardwood on the upper floor for us. Ben came and gave us a great price and sent Ivan and his crew to install. The installer was did an excellent job, and completed the installation in a timely manner. After checking out the big box stores and not finding a match for our existing hardwood, we went to the Internet and found 'Floors Direct North' who had an outstanding selection of flooring including our home's exact hardwood floor colour and manufacturer. The owner measured our rooms and gave us a quote broken down so that we could see exactly what we would be charged. Pricing was very fair with no post-work surprise increases and best of all the two installation crews (first hardwood then carpets) where both very friendly and informative and did a spectacular job on our entire upper floor. Two days for the hardwood and two days for carpet which included a lot of fussy cutting of many railing spindles. In the end this addition made the entire home look new again. Looking back on it I'm glad we went with a specialty company who do this sort of job every day for a living. From past experiences I'm not sure a big box company would have been as easy to get along with or do as precise a job. And their clean up was exceptional. Thanks for a great experiences!

We had a great experience at the store in Newmarket. Sankeeth was great during the quoting and measuring process and was very accommodating to help us determine the product we needed. We were advised to hold off choosing the stair runner until after the hardwood was installed so we could pick the best colour to suit. This was an excellent suggestion as we went with a much darker colour than we were initially thinking. The hardwood installers were excellent and accommodating to come on both a Friday and a Monday to allow us time to move furniture in between as we were short space to move the furniture out of the way. They cleaned up well and were very helpful to come back and make some minor adjustments to our staircase railing which had to be removed to install the floor. As an added bonus Ben from the store gave us a free floor duster and told us we would get an unlimited supply of floor cleaner. I would definitely recommend using Floors DirectNorth for both their pricing and service.

I checked around with a few companies, this one is close to my home and I was given a good quote. The installation was slow but it was done correctly. I was in a rush to have in installed so I was grateful that someone was able to do it. They removed the existing ceramic tile, it was more than 30 years old and very hard to remove, red dust was everywhere. However, it is finished now and everyone loves it.

I spent some time looking for a good company to lay my floors. This company was very well informed and extremely helpful. The installation looks fine however there are a few spots that bounce. We have not yet moved in so they claim that once the furniture is on the floor it will not bounce. I hope that works.

We found this company on the internet. We have to say that it was an excellent experience dealing with them, in fact the best experience we have ever had during a renovation of any kind. We had them remove all the old carpeting and move a great deal of furnishings. The work went smoothly, they worked long hours and their clean up was phenomenal. They even did some touch up work on a Sunday which suited us perfectly. The owner was exceedingly accommodating in arranging times for measurement and installation. The chief installer (Russ) was very competent and professional.
