Igor literally saved our project.
We were halfway through a gut-job renovation of our heritage house in Rosedale. There were lots of interior alterations and structural issues. The framing carpenter we had hired was five months into the job but very little had been accomplished on his end. After numerous ultimatums broken deadlines, we had no choice but to cut our losses and cut him loose.
We had to find a replacement and find him fast. My wife found Igor on Homestars and not only did he submit the lowest estimate, be was able to start within two weeks. We were anxious because we had already hired the wrong person once; one more mistake and we’d be sunk.
Fortunately we got lucky. Igor was skilled, fast, and drama-averse. He kept his promises and stuck to his quoted price. Of course there were extras, but he always cleared them with us in advance and the additional fees he demanded for them were reasonable.
Thanks to Igor, we were back on track. Once the roughing was done, we were so satisfied that we hired him to do the finishing carpentry as well, even though we knew that he had less experience in this area. Once again, he did a great job. The most important thing was that he took the time to understand what we wanted. He also didn’t mind doing the occasional minor do-overs at no additional cost.
Igor is meticulous and reasonable. We would definitely hire him again.
