Northern Rainmakers

We recently renovated our front lawn and back lawn. My brother-in-law recommended Northern Rainmakers for the irrigation since he thought they did such a great job on his lawn.

We got 3 different companies to quote the job, and Northern Rainmakers had the best price. At this point, it was a no brainer to go with them.

They came and installed the system in the pouring rain so that the rest of the renovation (gardens, sod, etc.) could continue on schedule. That's service!

The system works wonderfully. And everything is controlled by an easy-to-use app.

The service at Northern Rainmakers has been first-rate. We needed a couple of sprinkler heads adjusted after the sod and gardens were installed. Sean came right away and did a great job.

What else can I say. Great price. Great service. Great people.

I had my irrigation system installed by Northern Rainmakers. They also start-up the system in the spring and close it down in the fall.

Thank you Northern Rainmakers for going above and beyond! You definitely met and exceeded the expectations I had when I originally came on Homestars and spent all that time trying to find the right sprinkler company. I did meet with other companies reviewed with high percentages but what really won me over was the friendly, caring, and professional vibe that I got from Northern Rainmakers. And yes, for those wondering, their price is competitive compared to the other quotes that I received.

My experience with Northern Rainmakers started with a very prompt response from a request on Homestars to get a quote. One of the owners, Jamie, came out the next day to meet with me. What a nice and down-to-earth guy! I was most impressed with how well he listened and how he really took his time to explain how their services would accomplish what I was looking for. He didn't make me feel like he was in a rush or that I was just another customer. You could tell that he truly cares. He even flagged out where all the sprinkler heads, valve box, and controller would go. This helped me a lot in terms of visualizing the system and especially for Jamie and I to come to a consensus on how to best meet my gardens needs.

I like that this company recommends Hunter and Rainbird products. If you've ever looked into a sprinkler system, you may already know that these are the most reputable brands in the industry and Northern Rainmakers only wants to use the best. I had a few special requests for particular parts (ie. a particular controller and flow sensor) and they were happy to provide. Now that I have a wifi system that I can control on my phone and is connected to local weather stations, I feel like I got exactly what I was looking for.

My install date was booked in during a busy season so I would've had to wait a few weeks but a cancellation came up and I was able to get the job done a lot sooner thanks to Crystal in the office. The scheduling and all communications, following the initial quote, were all handled through her. Having spoke with her on a few occasions, I can tell you that she is very friendly, organized, professional, and quick to respond by email or answer by phone. This played a big factor in deciding which company to choose.

On the day of the install I was a bit nervous because I've put a lot of time, effort, and money into my lawn and gardens so it was really important to me that they were careful, especially around my more rare evergreens and Japanese Maples. This is where they really shined! Without me asking, they figured out how to route all the underground hoses with barely running any through the gardens and, when all was said and done, you could hardly tell that trenches were dug all over.

During cleanup, the crew even got down on their hands and knees to rake by hand throughout the gardens and lawn to clear any built up dirt and to spread the existing mulch back nicely around all the plants. What was also nice is that I didn't find one piece of construction material or garbage anywhere.

In closing, they take pride in their work and that's what I'm always looking for. It's not just about the quality of install, it's a lot about the service you will receive before, during, and after that really makes the difference. Thank you Northern Rainmakers! I look forward to seeing you again during opens, closes, and when I'm finished designing the backyard.

We got a quote from Sean regarding the irrigation of our front lawn, and once we gave him the okay he sent Dominic and two other men to our property. They arrived promptly at the agreed upon time, and when we requested that they irrigate the back and sides as well they were more than willing to do it on the same day for us.

Dominic was very professional from asking us about future landscaping plans we might have, to explaining the timer box and system.

They worked diligently through the scorching heat from 9 am to 4:30 pm; and didn't leave any mess behind unlike other home professionals we've had on our property.

I had my front yard redone and the stone contractor I used recommended Northern Rainmakers. I used them for the irrigation system and they re-worked and embellished much of the existing landscape lighting systems in my front and back yards.
I would absolutely recommend them. I dealt with both Sean and Jamie and found them extremely professional and hard working. Great Service Sean and Jamie, great workmanship. Would recommend to anyone who likes a job well done. They did lighting and a full sprinkler system. They are very fast at their work and efficient. They are expensive but they make up for it with great work.
