Monarch Kitchen Bath & Home

Kevin Samson and his team at Monarch helped us to give our kitchen a wonderful update. The backsplash, quartz countertop and new sink/faucet are great updates to our home. They did a great job coordinating the makeover.

We have dealt with Monarch kitchens for over a decade now, first with a total kitchen reno and more recently, an ensuite bathroom reno. Neil Samson is wonderful to deal with and is very customer focused.
After almost 3 years, I was having difficulty with the top vanity drawer and so I called Monarch to ask for a service call. Neil came over personally and when he saw how the drawer mechanisms were working, he wasn't satisfied and decided to have 4 new drawers built and replaced no-charge. Needless to say, I was delighted! I would recommend Monarch not only for its product lines and cost competitiveness, but also for it's 5 star customer satisfaction policy.

Monarch designed our kitchen a few years ago and we couldn't be more pleased the result. We were referred to Monarch through a close friend, and after meeting with president Neil Samson, we knew our search was over. Our kitchen renovation was quite extensive and everyone -- from the designers to the contractors to the office staff -- kept us well-informed. Except for a few blips along the way (due in large part to the poor construction of our home), the project ran according to schedule. My wife and I always knew what to expect and the contractors Monarch chose to come into our home were professional and respectful of our space and our time.

I was extremely pleased with the kitchen reno performed by Monarch. Sarah was most helpful with her design suggestions and all staff and trades were professional and responded to questions in a timely manner. Neil attended regularly to ensure all work was satisfactory. Family and friends loved the reno and I have recommended the company to two other friends. I hope to do a washroom reno in the future and will definitely contact Monarch again.

The excellent staff at Monarch gave us the best quality of service from the time we walked in the door to the time the job was finished. We received a great design, honest and frequent communication and great care to meet our needs in a timely manner. Kevin, Neil, Melissa, Kelly, Rick, Clint, and Roland were all friendly, informative, and efficient, leaving no detail too small. We hired Monarch two years ago to renovate our kitchen. We completely changed everything. Overall, our experience was very positive and we loved the new look. However, we did experience a problem with our new floor. Within a year, the grouting had crumbled away and cracked in quite a few spots. Monarch returned to review the problem and agreed it needed to be fixed. We were still under warranty at the time. It was determined that perhaps the batch of grouting was faulty so it was all stripped out and replaced. Within the next year, it happened again. I called Neil Samson, the owner of Monarch to explain the situation and even though our warranty was now expired, Neil returned to view the problem. It was then discussed that perhaps the sub floor was shifting and causing the problem. Neil put forth that he would not leave the floor as is and would make arrangements to again fix the problem. This resulted in ordering new flooring and kickboards for the bottom of our cabinetry which he did and for which a cost that was completely absorbed by Monarch. He then arranged for his team to come in and completely redo the kitchen flooring. This took just over a week. Although one could argue that the inconvenience of living without your kitchen for a week was unfortunate, I do wish to commend Neil and Monarch's integrity in getting the situation fixed, even after the warranty was long past expired.

Excellent experience with ALL staff members of MCBC. Time line was followed and deadlines met. Attention to detail by all workers was impecable. Designer (Sarah)and Owner (Neil) were always available for consultation. Would highly recommend this very professionally run enterprise

OMG!!!! Quite an experience. It would take me pages to describe how BAD this experience was. Don't get me wrong, if you want very pleasant people being very nice all the time, this is a good place to start. Also, the tradespeople were all very good, skilled and pleasant. But if you want professional designs and planning that will be executed with some level of competancy, this is NOT the place. Please contact me for details before you use Monarch. I also have plans for two bathrooms renos to be done, but I won't be using these guys. Here are must some of the issues. Cabinets damaged in transit but they installed them anyways. Wrong tabletop ordered but they installed it anyways. New cabinets installed before plumbing work was done. Well it was a very expensive lessons learned for me. I will know much better next time.
