I needed to move some large delicate components from an art installation across town. I was worried because my stuff was just slightly too big for a van cab. But then I found Cargo Cabbie! It was quick and easy and the driver was very friendly and helpful, it took a lot of the stress out of moving. I will definitely use Cargo Cabbie again!

Cargo Cabbie kept true to their company promises of not taking breaks, no hidden fees and protecting all furniture. They wrapped all my furniture with blankets, and everything arrived in the original condition to my new home. Javier and his 3 movers finished the job in 3 hours. Out of all the moving companies my family has dealt with, Cargo Cabbie was the most efficient and each mover had a positive attitude.

Due to the unique nature of our request to travel with the movers, Cargo Cabbie was more than happy to accommodate. They called an hour before arrival to confirm and were very punctual to arrive for the pickup. The driver was very friendly and even though we were responsible for loading and unloading goods, the driver helped with this task. We even received a discount! I had a pile of large and small things to pick up from one location and drop off at 3 locations across the city. With Cargo Cabbie’s help I got it done in half the time I thought it would take...
* Loaded up with their help at 9:00am downtown lakeshore,
*darted through traffic North to Bloor,
*East and back South to Broadview and Queen,
*and then all the way to a far East corner of Scarborough.
We were all unloaded by 11:30! These guys were always on the ball, very professional and fun to work with. I will use them again.

I am an Art Director, and I was referred to Cargo Cabbie by a colleague of mine for a photoshoot that we were having last week. Javier and his team were great at moving around lots of expensive and cumbersome equipment, and set material that our PAs were not comfortable moving. Cargo Cabbie was a life-saver when it came to moving a couple pieces of furniture. You know how it's always just too difficult to acquire furniture - chairs, tables - when you don't own a car (or van or truck even), and you've exhausted all your friends with cars or can't get in touch with them or they drive a tiny hatchback? Well, it happened to me. Luckily Cargo Cabbie was available, and at short notice too, to show up and move some chairs and a rather heavy/awkward table for me from a busy high-rise apartment (during rush hour, no less) and get them across town to my apartment. Organized, polite, and efficient, my experience was already fraught with tension and frustration but the good humour and attitude Javier and his associate displayed made it a pleasurable experience. Not only good for planned and complicated moves, Cargo Cabbie is also great in a pinch when you are working to deadline.

When i called Cargo Cabbie, I was anxious to find someone who would take care of my items as well as my space. As soon as i talked to Javier my stresses were gone. As he had assured me on the phone, My stuff was all wrapped safe in clean blankets. The flat screen television was given extra care as expected. My heavy antique dresser and hutch were moved delicately and with surprising ease. I couldn't stop thinking how professional they were. Javier and Kevin were experienced, punctual, fast, polite, and very careful. The tight corners on my stairs were maneuvered gracefully. No walls or floors were harmed as all of my former movers have done in the past. My antique dresser and TV hutch were strapped securely to the truck and arranged in my new place as quick and carefully as it had been moved out. This was the second time my wife attempted to move an oak desk from her office downtown to her office on the 3rd floor of our house. First time, the movers (Larceny and Sons) got the unwieldy thing as far as our porch before "realizing" that her office was up several flights of stairs and tried to jack the price on her. By the time she was finished with the police, the desk was back on the truck and back at her office. This time she called Cargo Cabbie. They gave her a solid quote - and when they couldn't make it at the last minute, they apologetically reduced the quote by forty bucks and rescheduled for the next day. When the guys arrived they asked to see the office where the desk was headed. The "Boss" (who's name escapes me), measured up the doorway and the desk and informed me he was concerned that the desk wouldn't get through. I have a similar desk in my office - a mirror image of my wife's space and told him I had confidence it would make it through. He shook his head and suggested that the desk ought to be disassembled - but there was an additional price for that. We'd already been hosed by another outfit the week before and I was wary. I insisted it would make it up the stairs. He measured again and said, "Tell you what - let's make a deal. I'm going to take that desk apart and put it back together inside the office. And you...are going to write a nice review on the internet. No extra charge" Well, it gives me great pleasure to share this story and to recommend these guys. It's a rare treat these days to encounter somebody honest, caring and happy to be of service. And all they want in return is your repeat business and for you to share the good word. Consider it done.
