Gas stove disconnection

I called 3 places to try and get a certified gas technician to come disconnect and remove my gas stove. I had a good feeling about Precision Gas and hired them. The technician was very experienced and efficient, and he was personable and professional. He had a lot of knowledge and definitely knew what he was doing. I've done several renovations, and it's such a relief when I find a trade person who is good and experienced. The job was done quickly and perfectly. I will be using them again.

Combi-boiler radiant heat system

Initially I was pleased with Matt as he was the only contractor out of 3 to give me the smartest and reasonable option for heating our low ceiling height basement/house. However, as the work continued, he proved to be difficult to communicate with and seemed frustrated with the job. A year later, we had an issue with the pump to our new boiler due to a line freeze over Christmas. He didn't take our concerns seriously and told us it was no big deal. He did a minor ghetto fix. Two weeks later we had a flood into our newly renovated basement! He didn't seem to know how to trouble shoot the problem and had poor communication and lack of professionalism. I lost faith in his ability to deal with the problem properly. Turns out, he did a short cut fix which still wouldn't guarantee a repeat flooding issue. Luckily, we found another reliable and professional person who reconfigured our boiler system to ensure we didn't have another problem. Overall, my comment would be that Matt is young and unprofessional. He lacks experience in dealing with his customers. He really didn't seem to grasp the inconvenience and problems his lack of attention and care caused.

installation of natural gas service in new house

We hired Matthew to install new natural gas service lines in our new house. He was pleasant to work with and appears to have done quality work, however, he changed the day he was going to come do the work twice, and left half way through the first day to go skiing, which meant that the job took two days to complete instead of one. He also drilled through our barge board outside to install the gas meter line but drilled in the wrong place and left us with a hole in our trim that will have to be carefully patched. Generally, he did good work but his performance was a little amateur.
