Blomberg Dishwasher Coast Appliances Calgary

I purchased this dishwasher in April 2019 and have had two technicians out to assess the smell coming from it. They determined there was nothing wrong. Coast Appliances, much to my surprise, does not stand behind ANY of their products. They will only replace an appliance if the manufacturer approves it. I have placed many calls to Coast which have all gone unanswered until today when I was told there is nothing they would do for us. We are pulling it out and taking it to the dump. Never will shop there again!

Purchase and delivery of washer/dryer combo

We will be leaving a similar review of Coast Appliances on a number of review websites.

We are NOT AT ALL IMPRESSED. We purchased a floor model washer / dryer combo around May 17, 2019, to be delivered to our rental condo. We made arrangements with the sales rep to have it delivered Friday morning May 24. The tenants were moving in on Saturday the 25th. Called Coast at noon on Friday. Surprise! Not happening. Over the next hour numerous phone calls. To be fair, the sales rep kept me informed. Long story short - only option Friday was to have them delivered by rep and mgr at end of day, or next AM by 11 AM. I told them not acceptable and delivery first thing Saturday. To which they agreed stating they would be loaded Friday evening. They offered and I accepted a $100 rebate. Saturday AM, no appliances. At 11 AM - received a call from delivery and they are on their way. Fortunately tenants had not yet arrived. Not happy, as I still had to hook-up appliances. My wife called and spoke w the mgr to register my displeasure. It would not have been pleasant if I called. Nothing further from Coast. No rebate. No apology. Numerous opportunities to get things correct or make amends. No further contact since delivery. Will we deal w Coast in future. Short answer NO, and will not recommend.

Kitchen renovation

My interaction started out promising , but service dissolved quickly. Appliances were paid for and were to be ready for installation in March. My final appliance arrived and was installed in May. Delivery dates cancelled without consultation, or notification, causing lost pay and vacation days. Damage to my condo building from delivery remains unresolved. Overall, poor communication and poor customer service. The only positive thing I can say, my appliances are in working order.

Extended Warranty

Don't purchase extended warranty for any of your appliances! I have now been waiting 4 months for someone to fix my dishwasher. Every time I call in, they tell me that the ETA for parts is 2 weeks for now. They clearly have no idea when they will actually arrive. When I emailed management to tell them how ridiculous this now is, the summed up response was there is nothing we can do for you. So I have a less then 2 year old dishwasher that I can't use. It's a Bloomberg dishwasher. Don't buy one.

No customer service

Went ti buy a new stove.
Waited 20 mins no one to help.
Went to front desk and person called for sales reps.
2 came. One went to a couple that had just come in. Second person walked right by us and went to people further on. Went to leave another sales person came up and asked if she could help said yes. She looked to see if our stove was in stock. No but one in warehouse if other store didnt want could be ours. Said she would call in an hour and let us know. After an hour called and left message. Never heard from her again. This was at the center st coast in Calgary.
Will never go there again. Will never recommend this place. If you are treated this way before you buy can you imagine the treatment if you had a problem.

NIGHTMARE

This company is the worst most immoral, complacient and unprofessional company I have ever dealt with in my life. They are also fraudulent and owe me $4300. As a business owner myslef i was completely disgusted by the way they treat thier customers, thier lack of compotence and thier complete disregard of customer service.

Here is a summary of my expreience

- Incorrect Specs were given by Coast to the builder for countertop cut out.
- Cooktop could not be installed because entire kitcen built around incorrect applicance specs that Coast provided.
- Appliances left sitting on my kitchen floor for a month and a half
- The company never gets back to its customers
- When they do they give you a run around
-Had to return old oven for smaller cheaper unit to avoid tearing apart kitchen
- Left without ability to cook for over a month and a half with young daugther that could not be fed and had to live somewhere else.
- Never told that installation was not included (had to find seperate installer)
-$3,000 error made on invoice that I had to catch myself.
-Company tried to bill me for two dishwashers.
-Oven broke in 10 days of use and was not repaired for 2 weeks
-3 visits required to repair oven
-Tech damaged oven trying to repair it
-Tech broke entire cabinet and snapped the wood support trying to reinstall built-in oven.
-Tech left huge gashes in hardwood floor reinstalling oven
-Tech scraped up cabinetry trying to install oven
- Wrong size hoodfan given, hoodfan not installed for 2 months due to negligence
-For all of the above 15 days had to be taken off work to accomodate contractors that came by for no purpose and fixed nothing
-No resoloution provided

To top everything off they came to get the hoodfan and cooktop from me and replace it with a lower grade model that would fit due to the mistake they made... after 20 phone calls and 10 emails they have still not refunded the difference in cost between the original products and new products which is $4300 (FOUR THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS). They are now dodging emails, it seems like this company may be on the brink of bankrupcy and cant complete the refund. Please any potential customers of this company, if you value your home, your time and your money... choose another vendor.

Thank you for the great service Norman

After a rather disappointing customer experience with Trail. I thought I would try Coast.

I knew what I wanted. Norman gave me an excellent price on a floor model and I didn't feel ripped off with the "extras". And also felt comfortable with the warrantee.

To top it off it was delivered the next day. But what I really liked. Was the delivery guys forgot the pot set that I ordered so Norman the sales guy offered to go pick it up and drop it off at my house.

I have never written a review before. But he deserves a thank you.

New home appliances not delivered/not working

We selected appliances over a year ago from Coast (our builder's supplier) for our new home. The day before we move-in in mid-December we were called by our Coast salesperson and advised:

1) our fridge was badly damaged in the warehouse and we will require an apartment sized loaner fridge until our fridge could be replaced in two weeks

2) Our dishwasher was unavailable and they had "upgraded" us (to a slightly cheaper model - no refund) - we later found out that they 'accidentally gave away' our special order dishwasher to someone else and we were required to replace the 'upgrade' machine at our own additional cost

3) washer and dryer pedestal bases did not arrive because they were accidentally not ordered and would be delivered in 2 weeks with the fridge

We have since been told that we can expect it to take 4-6 weeks for our new fridge and washer pedestals to arrive - according to our sales person "we initially tell people 2 weeks so they don't get upset"...

Coast has done nothing to make this right over the past three weeks other than charge us an additional cost to replace that 'upgraded' dishwasher. We have no idea when our paid-for appliances will actually be arriving. Our sales person's supervisor was supposed to call us before the end of December to make this right and we still have not heard back from either the sales person nor supervisor (it is now January 6).

We also discovered our stove was installed with a faulty electrical component so we have also been dealing with the Coast appliance repair team ever since we moved in (the repair team is much more responsive).

The only appliance that is working as expected is the microwave...

I would not recommend Coast for appliance purchase or install (our washer was not fully-hooked up when we moved in (we fixed this ourselves, but we shouldn't have needed to)). Their customer service is terrible, and they seem to have real difficulty delivering the products you have purchased. We have also found them to be not particularly truthful in their communications with their customers.

All 6 appliances

Our builder supplied us with 6 upgraded electrolux appliances from Coast. The Washer was not installed properly. The dryer needed two service calls. The micro wave required two service calls. The gas cook top range needed 3 service calls and still does not work right. The fridge did not provide chilled water, after two service calls we were told Electrolux does not chill water anymore. After the warranty expired, the dishwasher started to leak and took two service calls to fix, and then the unit was not put back properly. The convection wall oven fan stopped working, it was fixed in one visit, but not without a cost for labour and a huge chip out of hour hardwood floor.

My concern is that we have been supplied with 6 out of 6 upgraded Electrolux appliances that have all had problems. What are the odds of that?

No to be fair, so far, we have paid the labour and service calls for the out of warranty items, and Electrolux has paid for a seal for the dishwasher that sells for $75.

Kitchen Appliance

I have used them for several purchases last time we built a new house we picked out our appliances and in the time before the build prices dropped almost 2000 and they reduced the price no questions asked. Their installers were amazing it took them several hours to remove all the plastic tape and packing stuff everything was perfect when they left.
