install crown moulding in new home

-postponed appointment at last minute
-agreed to arrive at 9am...showed up at 11am
-came with incomplete equipment and had the nerve to borrow money from homeowner to buy a tall ladder
-owner/installer left abruptly in the early afternoon without a word and left employee to explain
-combine late arrival and sudden departure of main installer = unexpected 2nd day of installation
-did not pick up after themselves ...left empty coffee cups on window sill, etc
-left globs of caulking on joints and didnt wipe off clean
-agreed to include painting of moulding for an additional charge but at the end of the second day, we were asked to pay for installation component and promised to call with a 3rd appointment for painting. days later random stranger/person who is not an employee of Alex Moulding called and said alex gave him my number (without my consent and prior knowledge) to negotiate painting of crown moulding. Guy went on to say he also did not have a tall ladder but would come in to finish the shorter sides and come back another day for the last tall side. Oh I apparently had to pay for the 3 shorter sides first. Umm...I dont think so!
-i would call to ask questions and/or follow up with appointment. secretary would always tell me she'd find out and call me back. Guess what? Yup, no callbacks

price cheapest among companies i canvassed but i definitely got what i paid for...bad unprofessional service.

Approximate cost of services:
$1,700.00

Company Response

Hi Debbi. So why did you paid us if everything is bad as you saying here? You always let people do work, then instead of pointing on errors (if there any) you stub them in the back with bad reviews and stuff?

It’s like buying a t-shirt with some flaws, wearing it and after coming home writing that its bad. Why not just change it? Why even bother wait and then write? If its really bad why taking it and showing to friends?

I was a witness of a good job and your mom pointed to some little imperfections that I fixed in less then 2 minutes and that was all. You were happy, your mom was happy. You and your mom checked everything before letting us out and paying us money. What is the problem then?

If there is a mess installers left behind they didn’t clean up? We can offer housekeeping services or will cover its cost. Things happen, we are all people. Why being so ignorant to and so disappointed? There is always a solution. You didn’t mention about your movers by the way, who were going back and forth on that day and could do much more mess then we are.
Coffee cups? So our installers and defiantly not other workers left a coffee cup? Really?

Painter works for us for 10 years. Have no idea why you have problem with him. He is perfectionist. You wouldn’t believe how many people can say good words about him. In my vision you wanted a semi-gloss paint and realized that it costs higher.

We have recording on our lines and it wasn’t too hard to check and verify that you moved us. We keep records of everything. So this is a straight lie just to make us look bad.

And remember, even companies making Mercedess-Benz have recalls, but ignoring it and writing all bad about it without exchanging it would just make you a free writer but not a happy user.
