Professionally crafted front porch and retaining wall renovations by an amazing team at Hofstetter Renovations!

My partner and I have lived in our home in Riverdale for over 20 years. During this time, we have had several major renovations done, all of which were very successful. This past summer, we finally got around to having some major landscaping and hardscaping done to our front and back yard areas. Hofstetter Landscaping came highly recommended to us by friends for whom Rick and his team had done two projects. I will say, without question, this has been the best experience we've had in doing a renovation to our home. Rick and Ashleigh were geninunely invested, from the first time we spoke, in making sure that we would have open and on-going communication to ensure that we would be happy with the work they did for us.
I will say that we were beyond happy!! Rick and his team were professional and very respectful throughout the process. Communication was excellent. Rick is, without question, the hardest-working and most hands-on contractor with whom we've ever worked. He was also very open to suggestions and last-minute changes we brought to him. We would give Rick and his team the highest recommendation to any of our friends or family who were looking to have work done on their home.

Decided to have our son's wedding in the backyard. Needed to have our driveway repaired with pavers so that wheelchairs could get back there. Also needed to have our yard landscaped, new sod laid and an old fence torn down and replaced. That work had to be scheduled around the wedding (the fence had come down before and the new one put up after the wedding). All work was done as promised and on time. Had a leak in my basement. Rick and his crew replaced the weeping tiles in front of my house. At the same time created a beautiful walkway in front of my house (see pictures). The work was done in such a short time. (They even worked late in the evening. Can't wait for Rick to fix our stairs.

I found Hofstetter Landscaping on BBB. I had just inherited my fathers home which needed a lot of work.
Rick came out to the house and saw what I wanted to do and gave me his opinion when asked. I liked him right away as he seemed no nonsense and knew the job.
We then corresponded by phone inwhich he sent me quotes and diagrams of what the finished area would look like. He worked with me as I had to change my mind a few times on the type of fence I wanted etc.
I had complete confidence in his ability and was excited.
Rick and his group worked from sun up till sun down and completed my back yard in no time at all. The end result is a beautiful fenced in backyard with an amazing walkway and patio. Since that time his wife and I have stayed in touch as we found we have a lot in common. I would trust Rick with the keys to my home when I'm not there. Thank you Rick for the beautiful backyard.

Approximately 5000 square feet of our back yard required to be recontoured and sodded. An area near the ravine is heavily treed and even after extensive trimming proved to be a challenge for the grass.

Rick and his team were not satisfied and returned this fall to reseed the whole area, and will be back in late spring to reseed it again to ensure that the new lawn is fully satisfactory.

Rick and his team did an incredible job on our front project. Rick came up with an excellent solution for our garden retainer wall. We get constant compliments from neighbours on how nice it looks. The work was done well. Clean up was immaculate. Was happy to accept Ricks suggestions as he has considerable expertise in his field. I think the little things make a difference like the fact that they sloped the final bricks to the sidewalk, which left a much smoother appearance. Something I don’t see with other retaining walls. The driveway surround is well done and gives a modern look. Thanks to Rick and his team, including Ashley and her excellent communication skills!

We had a complicated job because of local permit parameters, and Rick was flexible and helpful in dealing with the inspector's requirements. He managed work-around solutions when our drawings for the deck created problems, and didn't bat an eye when told mid-dig that certain posts would have to be relocated. The result was a well-constructed elevated deck, even paving down a tricky side slope and patio, and a solid driveway and front walkway, complete with a repositioned lamppost. A very dependable company...

When I was thinking about replacing my old deck with a new one my concern was who should I call. I spoke to my insurance company and was told to call Hofstetter Landscaping because they would provide a servive of high quality.

I called to make an appointment to have someone come to my house to give me an estimate. It was such a pleasure speakimg with the lady who picked up the phone, she was so pleasant, polite and thorough. Later I found out her name was Ashleigh. She said that her husband Rick would come and give me the estimate and he did show up as planned.

Rick came and explained everything in detail exactly what he intended to do. He answered all my questions in full and he left no stones unturned. Rick and his team pulled the old deck down one afternoon and the next day a brand new deck was built. It was wonderful. It was the talk of the neighbourhood. The workmanship was top class.

I originally hired a contractor to put in stamped concrete who let me down & left a mess. I was referred to Hofstetter Landscaping by a friend. When I met the owner Rick, I felt very confident that he was very knowledgable and made me feel confident. He is a true professional.
