Mr. Rescue was one of the only handymen from Homestars that actually returned my calls. Knowledgable and friendly, Charlie went over each repair with attention to detail. We had various repairs around the house (including plumbing work), and Charlie also re-built our front steps and landing. Everything was done within the timeframe he specified. We are very happy with the work that was done. We highly recommend Mr. Rescue for prompt, efficient service. We will keep his number handy for any future repairs.

We needed a handyman to do some repairs around the house. Could never find anyone reliable, or constant. We are now getting ready to put our house on the market to sell and needed the work done. I chose Mr. Rescue based on the reviews he received on this site, and when I called him to book an appointment I was impressed. Charlie followed through with what he told me, called when he said he would, arrived promptly, is very professional and personable. His prices are great. He was extremely helpful in making recommendations in order for us to choose products and the reasons why he made them. We will be calling on Charlie for a bit till we sell the house here in Toronto and hope he can come up north to do some work on our future home too!! Thank you Charlie, see you soon!

Charlie did a great job replacing one of our old inside doors with a new one I had purchased (this included straightening the door frame). He came on time and gave me a couple options to tailor the job to my needs and budget.

The work was completed well and faster than expected. I would definitely recommend Charlie.

Charlie worked quickly and efficiently on our home. Due to the uneven basement floor, the baseboards don't touch the ground at all points-- an issue I wasn't aware of before the work began and wish I had known. Otherwise great work.

Punctual, polite, did a great job without a fuss or any sense of overcharging. As per many of the reviews, there was a "list" of things to tackle, and I wqs very grateful for Charlie's professional handyman approach. He did not condemn everything to a major restoration overhaul, but tackled the problem and did it well. I will have another list shortly and look forward to inviting Charlie back.

Charlie was super reliable! I sent him a text picture of the damaged baseboard and he was able to quote me a VERY reasonable price! He is also very efficient in returning messages. I would definitely recommend him!

Mr. Rescue was easy to get hold of and responded quickly to my enquiry. He arrived when he said he would and completed the job skillfully and neatly. He was very professional to deal with and I would not hesitate to hire him again.

Charlie provided us with a fixed rate quote on 7 small item projects around the house that included laying a few bricks on the outside, bath fan replacement, plumbing , water leak issues etc. By the time, he came in a few days later to do the actual work, the list grew to 11 items. Charlie did all the work and still charged us the initial rate that he quoted us and provided us with lots of tips as first time home buyers.

He also saved us approximately 200 bucks in material and other city related charges by fixing the main water shut off valve and not having to replace it.

Also, he found a nasty mold issue that my home inspector never found in the attic :-)

Definitely, would recommend him.

As the description indicates, Charlie did a lot to and for my home. His work is excellant. He showed up on time, called the day before to confirm and was a complete pleasure to have in my home. Wouldn't hesitate to call on him again.
