We needed a new base for a new shed that we had purchased and asked Charlie for a quote. He responded promply with a reasonable quote, and was able to complete the project within days of initial contact! We are extremely pleased with the end result, as our new shed and base look amazing! I would highly recommend Charlie and his team for the quality of services they provided!

Finding an amazing tradesperson like Charlie is why I always use Homestars as my first and only resource for finding great companies and individuals. We had Charlie tackle a large number of updates and repairs in our home (a couple of pages long). Work included closet door installations, multiple bathroom updates, repair of trim work and a host of other tasks. I found Charlie (Mr. Rescue) to be completely trustworthy, honest and reliable. Charlie and Benny did a fantastic job from a work quality standpoint. I would without hesitation recommend Mr. Rescue to anyone who was looking for help with a project (or many projects) around the home... you'd be lucky to work with Charlie. I also should mention Charlie is great at helping to solve problems, provided options to take on problems and made great recommendations. So my advice: Hire Charlie. Listen to Charlie. You'll be glad you did. I sure am.

I had read positive reviews about Mr. Rescue and decided to give them a call when I needed a dryer vent fixed. A very polite gentleman named Charlie answered and arranged to give me a quote.
He gave me a quote but said he could not do the work for several weeks. I decided to wait for him and am glad I did.
Charlie was on time, professional and polite. He took a cheque unlike many other contractors. His work was of good quality and his rate was very reasonable.
I have used several contractors for different jobs and I can say that Mr. Rescue was my most stress-free experience. It is very difficult to find a good contractor who is willing to do small jobs. I would encourage anyone thinking of hiring Mr. Rescue to not be put off by how busy he is. It is worth waiting for him.

I believe the best reference I can give anyone, is to answer the question would I use them again? The answer for Charlie (Mr. Rescue) is YES for sure. Charlie did an open concept stairway renovation project for me that was done to perfection. While in my home Charlie took great care to cover and protect affected areas such as carpets etc. Additionally, a full clean up was done at the end of every day by removing any debris and hauling it away in his truck. This action showed a lot of respect for me and my home. On-going home improvement and maintenance is something I try to keep up with so I expect to see Charlie again for those jobs that I don’t wish to tackle on my own.

Charlie and Sam were amazing! I had a smaller project, but Charlie managed to fit me into his busy schedule, which I really appreciated. His quote was fair and the quality of work was second to none. I was so impressed with both of these gentlemen that I asked them to quote another project for me while they were here. This was my first experience with a contractor and I was very impressed with the work Sam and Charlie did, and I felt they were being honest with me. I'm looking forward to working with them again!

I was really impressed with Charlie and Sam and their level of customer care. These guys are both really great at what they do, and are patient and more than fair when it comes to cost. It is obvious they take real pride in their work. I am very happy with all the work they did. The service Charlie provided was great. His attention to detail was over the top. His suggestions proved to be very helpful. He was on time and left the work site very clean. I would hire Charlie again in a heart beat. If I could give a 10 plus I would.

This was the third time we had Charlie come in to do some work for us. He built wall shelves into our living room for us. This time he was accompanied by his uncle Sam who is also an amazingly talented contractor. Once again a fantastic job well done. The pictures speak for themselves. Charlie also put in a piece of drywall to seal an open window in the wall and make it into a book nook. Thanks again Charlie!!

Little known fact: Mr. Rescue is more than a handyman, he is also an excellent general contractor. I contacted Charlie to make several small repairs around the house. Immediately I was struck by his honesty, so I asked him to quote a larger job for which I had been having a hard time pinning down a contractor. The final product is gorgeous. Charlie is impressive in his attention to detail. His work is also good value: he is always thinking about the customer's pocketbook and presents several options, ranging from least to most expensive. He is also careful about adhering to code. I feel very confident saying that you can entrust your home and your money in his hands.

I had a broken latch on a cast iron gate, and a deck with a few rotted and broken boards. Others told me the gate could not be fixed. Not only did Charlie fix the gate, my deck was fixed, and washed to look like new. Awesome work, on time, and under budget.
