Gienow Renovations

I grew up in Calgary and knew the "Gertie from Gienow" days and finally had a chance to use them. Casement (beautiful...wow!) received in summer; though missing screen and window crank. Delay, delay, delay. Gienow rep threw my main contractor under the bus w/ "It's his fault" when I could not get hold of the Gienow rep or have calls returned (despite our prior agreement). Finally have the screen/no crank in Oct (now that the garage is no longer >100f). I gave up. I will not deal with Gienow again.

Over past 10 yrs all window seals failed & replaced by Gienow at our cost. Last big window took 3 months and 5 windows because of their measurement errors and breaking window twice. Very frustrating, poor service and all I got was a "Sorry". Will never deal with Gienow again.

I got Gienow to provide me with an estimate for replacing two windows and a door on my garage. The door went in prior to the windows because the windows were made the wrong size. They were fast to correct this error. With this as well as their great costumer service by Terry (in the office) as well as Alex (measure and installer) and Kirill (Alex's assistant) on site, I give them a total of a 10 rating.

I was Very happy with the product and the advice from the rep who came over to discuss different styles of windows. The installers Alex and Kirill did a fantastic job, were friendly,proffesional and cleaned up, would recommend them anytime.

Windows are lovely and the workmanship was great. Workers were friendly and easily fit into our busy schedule. The instalors did a good cleanup after the job and took away all the old wood and windows.

This installation was a tricky interior sun room wall location adjoining an existing set of patio doors leading to a balcony. Gienow had a four panel door wide enough to fit the space and the showroom model we saw operated beautifully. Ronny Sharma, the sales rep who visited our site, gave us excellent service and assisted with all our concerns. Production and installation went exactly according to plan. A damaged existing panel resulted from the difficult delivery of the new door to the balcony location and the panel was replaced in reasonable time.
A door handle misalingment was also cortected at the same time. Alexei Kuzmin and Kirill Alexandrov were efficient and skilled installers and we enjoyed the steady flow of Russian explication over the existing doors, apparently inspired by a most difficult widow fitting. And the cultural lessons delivered in English were fascinating: we learned never to shake hands across a threshold. We would have Gienow back again, especially if they guaranteed us Ronny, Alexei and Kirill.

TJ the estimator provided prompt information and was very helpful. The install by Alex and Kirill was exceptional. The level of communication and professionalism was unusually high for Calgary contractors. All in all an excellent experience and the product looks great.

I needed to replace my kitchen window and garden door and had a few companies to give me quotes. After meeting with TJ Marriott I was very impressed with the company, there were not the cheapest nor the most expensive but TJ was very knowledgeable and took time to address my questions. My installers were Alexey and Kirill and I could not be more pleased with there work. The new window and door look great and the workmanship is excellent. Instead of just ripping out the old window and door they took time to cut them out so there was no damage to the drywall in the house or the siding. Door and side window were installed replacing an old wooden door. The quality of the door and installaltion was excellent. The installers were on time, did a good job, cleaned up and provided information that was useful. Installer Alexey Kuzmin was very good.
