Just over a week ago a shocking and terrible incident occurred in the parking lot of the plaza where my store is located: three people were shot. The victims came inside my store to escape where they immediately collapsed – everyone else had already scattered.
After EMS assisted the shooting victims and transported them to the Hospital, the Police requested to view my video surveillance recordings for information. I showed them what was captured by our system and the Investigator was very impressed with the clarity and quality of the footage. He asked me to download a copy for him to aid in investigating and prosecuting the crime.
Though I had been trained on how to do this I did not want any errors to happen because of the severity of the crime. There was blood and Police everywhere. Halcyon had installed our system less than a month ago, so, we called them at 11:30 pm. Due to the importance of the situation a representative contacted the owners directly to assist the Police. At 1:00 am Steve arrived at the scene and performed the back-up process for us himself – at no charge. He then instructed the Police Investigator on how to use the back-up player and review the video.
I respect Halcyon’s commitment and dedication. This service was certainly above and beyond the call of duty and showed to me what type of people they are. When we needed them they came – no questions.
