Pool and Hot tub

Paul is the absolute best for pools and hot tubs. I have been using his company for all my repairs, openings, closings etc. Tried many companies first. Paul is the best.

Hot Tub Repair

One recent Saturday night we found that our hot tub (very surprisingly) had drained. We immediately checked Homestars and came across Complete Spa and Pool. 1) Over 25 years in the business? Check. 2) Pretty strong reviews on HomeStars? Check. 3) Possibility of a return call on the weekend (based on other HomeStars reviews)? Check. The owner, Paul, did call us back on Sunday, and by mid-week (and after a few visits to investigate and ensure that there was no freezing), our hot tub was repaired, refilled, and running. Many thanks Paul.

Swim Spa repairs

Experienced an issue with loss of power to my swim spa. Reached out to Complete Spa and Pool after a Google search (had no prior experience with or knowledge of them). Paul from Complete Spa was quick to respond (on a Sunday evening to boot). Communication was quick and clear and the appointment was set for within 48!hours of my call.

Paul was friendly and thorough. After some diagnostics he quickly identified the cause and recommended a solution. The pricing was reasonable and Paul had quickly gained my confidence that he knew what he was doing. The repairs were completed within 30 minutes of giving him the go ahead.

My experience was great and while I hope I don't need them again for a while, when I do, I know I'll be calling Complete Spa and Pool. I definitely recommend contacting them for your hot tub or swim spa servicing needs. Thanks for the responsive and great service!!!

Spa Repair (leak)

Our Artesian Spa had been leaking about 3in of water a week for several months. I was given Paul's contact information by a friend-of-a-friend who had been very satisfied with his work.

Paul came out and inspected the tub. I was given an estimate on the work involved and the expected costs. All seemed reasonable so I gave him the Go-ahead. A few days later, Paul arrived and performed the repair. Happily, he was able to save a few hrs labour, savings of which were passed on to me.

This was a difficult repair due to the location of the faulty valve and the outdoor temperature (i.e. below zero). The job was completed and, to date, the new join has held properly.

I was extremely pleased with the repair, as well as Paul's professionalism and attention to detail. Needless to say, I am happy to recommend him to others!

Fixed leaking hot tub

I had a leak in my hot tub and after self examining I was unable to locate the problem! I found Complete pool and spa online and sent out a quick e-mail and they responded immediately saying they would come take a look for me. They worked around my schedule and were able to come and fix the problem right away and everything is working great! Would definitely recommend them to anyone who has issues with their hot tub as they were very fast, friendly and got the job done! Also didn't charge any extra fees or anything, great company will definitely be using them again if I have any other problems!

Hot tub repair

As a pregnant mom, I should have read through all the reviews before I contacted this company so I won't waste more than one month time for all the troubles with Paul. He lacks professional ethics and always have excuses for his no show and being late, also never apologize and blame all on customers. He always said "I have so much work to do I am busy" but never think from our perspective that everyone has lots of work to do and time is precious for everyone

I firstly called Paul in Sep. and he said he would give us an inspection for 120 dollars. It "seemed" cheaper than other companies, so I asked for an appointment for inspection. After several times attempt to reach him, he finally come for "inspection" on Oct. 6. However, I filled water, but he didn't even turn on our hot tub, just said he found the tub on fire before and not sure whether it was safe, asked me to contact fire department to confirm. Even though, he charged me 95 dollars in cash. Then I checked with several friends about the safety issue, after I confirmed with Paul that we would like to fix the hot tub on Oct. 20, he said he need to order the parts- but he didn't know what parts we need since he didn't do any inspection actually. So I had to ask him again and again to come back for another "inspection" untill Oct. 28, he said he could come "today or tomorrow morning", but he dissappeared again! The next morning, he said he could come, I said I would be out of home around noon so he need to come either morning or later afternoon. He replied me very upset saying "OK I changed my schedule just for you" What?!!! It was he said that he would come the earlier day or that morning then he blamed me! I should have stopped the connection with him at that moment, but due to the money I paid, I don't want to change another company since I need to pay once more the inspection fee, so I tried my best to be patient with him and offered him another chance.

He came and measured the parts, then disappeared again!! Untill today, Nov. 11, he said his guy would come to repair. I think hopefully all could be done today and I don't need to contact this terrible guy any more. But, a guy came and removed the current parts around 2.30pm and said Paul would come in an hour with new parts, then I had to keep staying home untill it is totally dark. I texted Paul asking if he would not come today. He said they already came and would try tomorrow. I asked when, he disappeared again!

This guy is the most unreliable guy I ever seen in Canada, pay most attention if you want to contact him! till now he even never apologize for any inconvenience he brought to us.

Okay Rebecca lets go through your comments; 1. I do not and did not blame any customers for anything. 2. After I inspected your tub and found that had been in a fire I tried to explain to you that I d not think it was safe for an expecting mother to use this tub as I know that burnt PVC can be dangerous as explained here by what I found on the web,

"When produced or burned, PVC plastic releases dioxins, a group of the most potent synthetic chemicals ever tested, which can cause cancer (dioxin is the most potent carcinogen known to science) and harm the immune and reproductive systems".

I suggested that you should get an opinion from fire dept. since you did not like what I had try to explain to you that I thought it was not safe. I don't know what "friends" of yours are qualified to give you their opinion on fire safety and or off gas poisoning from burnt PVC plastic. When you contacted me back 2 weeks later telling me that you still wanted the repairs done I explained that we would have to order the jets. You claim I did not do the inspection, obviously I was there and did the inspection. I even came back again at no charge, to try and explain to you again that I did not think it was safe for you to use this hot tub that was on fire, but you insisted on the repair so we took photos and attempted to get the jets which we had to order from our supplier as they were not in stock. 3. As explained in my reply text to you I did change my schedule for you in attempt to help you even though I did have other clients waiting as well as you. You are making it sound like I kept you waiting and you were having to come home to be there for us, but you had explained to me in person that you where home all the time with your pregnancy and things were ok, you did not express any issue with me, in person. 4. My guy was there, starting the repair while I went to Toronto on a Friday afternoon to pick up your special order jets, but I could not get back there before the daylight was gone as I tried to explain when you texted me, I even offered to come back the next day on a Saturday. 5. I am quite shocked that you are making these claims as to my character. I think you are upset that I gave you answers you did not want to hear that I thought you should not use that tub that was on fire due to possible heath issue with it.
Finally I did not "disappear again" and I take special exception to you claiming I am a "terrible guy", I have been in this business for 26 years now and have hundreds of happy clients and an A+ rating on BBB. I have apologized and sent you a refund. Contact me if you would like to discuss further.

Hot Tub, Spa Repairs

I came across Paul's site on homestars about 5 years ago to help with my hot tub that just decided to stop working.
Since then, Paul has been exclusively servicing my hot tub. He had to change all the pumps and the main panel over the years. Since his last visit changing the panel, I haven't had any issues or need to call him back because of problems. Paul is very reliable, easy to reach and does a fantastic job. I would recommend Paul to any family members or friends without hesitation. He's the only one I call for my tub...

Pool closing

Left my pool closing til last minute last year and every company was completely booked til end of October...Paul was out within a week to do the pool closing when others quoted 2-3 weeks...Very neat and efficient and even rinsed out our inground hot tub before closing. Very happy with the pool closing and will be booking our pool opening with him as well.

Hot Tub Service

This Spring I realized that my Hot Tub was leaking, The issue was urgent as the tub was full of water and it was below freezing outside. I called Paul from Complete Pool & Spa - he responded to my call on the weekend and fit me into his schedule first thing Monday morning. Both pumps were leaking and my control panel was burnt out. Paul replaced the control panel and one of the pumps, he was able to rebuild the second pump saving me a few hundred dollars. Paul was prompt and professional and answered all of my questions. A week later the pressure switch on the control panel was acting up. I called Paul and he came out the next day to adjust the switch at no additional charge. Since then I have had no issues, and the tub is working like new

Hot tub repair

I was a week away from selling my home and my hot pumps quit on me, plus, we were a couple days away from a major deep freeze that if it hadn't of been for Paul at Complete pool and Spa coming that same day and assessing the situation, my whole tub would of froze.
With his many years of experience he managed to get one pump running so the tub would hear up until he could get the other pump ordered. With in 3 days he had both pumps running and the tub in perfect working order at a reasonable price mind you, before my house went on the market.

I would highly recommend complete pool and spa to anyone who needed a professional, knowledgeable and very experienced pool and spa repair guy.
