There was no closet in the room I had chosen to use as my bedroom, so I worked with Istvan to design a custom closet on the window wall. He had great ideas and executed the design beautifully. His work is always meticulous and he has a great sense of style. Well done team!

Steven has been one of my favourite contractors to work with so far, he's extremely skilled and capable of designing and building anything that we could imagine, but also has a strong aesthetic sensibility to help us make subtle but difficult decisions.

We had Steven design and build custom built-ins around our fireplace mantel, and a new mantel too. Everything was assembled immaculately, not to mention the workspace was completely cleaned after -- so rare!

Steven was also extremely accommodating for changes and iteration. When we took apart our old mantel, we realized that we needed to rebuild the framing from scratch, and Steven consulted on how to best do that and worked with us to adjust the sizing of his mantel design to fit with the new framing that I put in. He kept his schedule flexible as we worked to prep our room for his install.

Overall amazing experience, genuinely looking around the house now trying to think of more projects that we could use Black Forest Woodworking for!

Steven worked on our previous home and I absolutely loved the work he did for us. He did four different bookcase and mantles there snd it transformed our home. Thank goodness we did it because it made our house very easy to sell.

It was a no brainer to call Steven to do work on our new house. We needed wall units to surround fireplaces in 2 rooms and a full wall unit for an 85 tv in the basement. These units were much bigger than our previous ones.

Steven is such a pleasure to work with. He is helpful with the design, very detail oriented, and most importantly sets expectations for timing and costs. The size of our projects were pretty big and very timing consuming so the cost didnt surprise me.

It is always nice to work with someone who seems to love what he does. He was fun to have in the house and the pride he takes in his work really come out in the finished product. I couldnt recommend him enough.

Istvan is an incredible cabinet maker. The bookcase he designed and built was exceptional. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend him without reservation. The quality of the workmanship is fantastic . I will be using him again for another project soon.
