Distinctive Bathrooms & Kitchens

The first and second floor renovation project in our home, which included, among others, the kitchen, living room, powder room and master bathroom, was managed very effectively from the beginning of the design up to the end of the work. We had a great time working with Renée who was always of good advice. She has guided us in our choice of materials and our vision of the project.

We greatly appreciated the professionalism of the entire Distinctive team who were anxious to deliver a quality product. We were impressed with the excellent customer service of all staff both in the administration and in the field.

My experience working with Distinctive Bathrooms was great. The designer, Renée Marcil, was excellent at navigating us through the myriad decisions which must be made to put together a plan to achieve your dream kitchen. Renée was attentive to detail, and responsive to our requests and concerns. The workmanship provided by Distinctive Bathrooms was excellent, both from the work done, and the fact that worksites were always cleaned up each day. Additionally, the follow-up with Renée and her team were terrific with any requests being handled promptly and to our satisfaction. A class act from beginning to end.

Renee did an absolutely fantastic job on the renovation of the kitchen in my condo in 2012. It was a tight galley-type dark space and she was able to make it bright and inviting and looking like it just walked out of a magazine. When my wife and I sold the house in 2016 the buyer remarked that it was the kitchen that sold her on buying the house. I enthusiastically recommended Renee to my parents and she re-did their kitchen in 2014 and it looks stunningly beautiful as well. She is a pleasure to work with, listens to what you want, and guides you expertly through the myriad of choices you have to make during a project of this size. My wife and I will definitely be calling Renee to work on our new home in the future.

We opted for both the shower special and bath special as well as a few add-ons. Our designer Amandine was very helpful in steering us in the right direction and pleasant to work with. She helped me in all my choices and was very patient! The work crew was respectful, did very good work and cleaned up after every day. A particular thank you to Bryan for all his impeccable work and care. The office called every day to keep us updated on the next steps. Ensuite bathroom and Powder room completely renovated in one month. Professional design by Marissa. Very patient and dedicated designer who paid attention to our needs and budget restrictions. Always ready to make adjustments along the project. She had great suggestions and proposed nice products to make it easier for us. Project manager Sheilagh kept us up to date on the progress at all times, which was really appreciated. Work crews were fast, on time and did a good job. They made sure we were satisfied with the work done adjusting and repairing all issues that came up. Also, good customer service – we had a small problem with one of the toilets and they came back home to fix it. Thank you Distinctive Bathroom and Kitchens! We would recommend DBK to anyone.

We chose Distinctive Bathrooms and Kitchens to renovate the kitchen, ensuite and guest bathroom of a 20 year old luxury condo. Throughout the process, our designer, Vida Kiani, provided the most pleasant, professional and superior service. She carefully analyzed the requirements, took extensive measurements and pictures, shared fabulous design ideas, addressed all of our many questions and concerns. In addition, Distinctive B&K has a beautiful showroom with an extensive array of products providing us with a one-stop-shop. This helped us immensely during the decision-making and selection process all expertly guided by Vida. In addition, the work is performed, managed and coordinated from inception to completion by Distinctive's team. After months of planning and construction, the final result was AMAZING. We would highly recommend Vida and the Coordination Team headed by Sheilagh Crombie for their excellent service and high quality workmanship.

This was not my first experience with designers but my experience with Vida, the principal designer for DBK, OTTAWA, was by far my best experience. This was a complex design and renovation for many reasons that I will not go into here. Yet, Vida inspired confidence and respect from the outset and throughout the design. Vida was highly professional, creative, listened well and , most importantly, was patient. I came to the table with many ideas, dreams, functional requirements and budget restrictions. She was able to sort through these, bring suggestions and solutions, and help me make necessary compromises to achieve my various objectives. Never did I feel that she was imposing her views or disregarding my concerns or personal preferences. The end is a product that I love and enjoy and that works for my family. Her attention to detailed requirements, specs and costing resulted in no surprise when the project was turned over to DBK's project manager, Sheilagh, and construction lead, Michel,
who delivered a high quality product. We have just retained Vida and DBK to design and renovate our sunroom/great room adjoining our kitchen.
