My three year old hot water heater stopped working on Feb 1 for no reason that would be obvious to me. I contacted Aire Max based on the ratings it had received on Homestars and the owner came within an hour. He unplugged it and plugged it in again and examined the heater. He asked me for a copy of the manual which does not inspire confidence. I gave it to him. About 15 minutes later he told me that the electronic panel on the hot water heater was not functioning and that it would cost $600 to replace it which does not seem worthwhile on a hot water that only cost me $1000. He told me he would be glad to sell me a new one and quoted on both tank and tankless replacement. He also commented on my furnace saying that it was a bad brand and that he could recommend a better one and could quote on that. I said that I would get back to him and did some research on the hot water heater models he proposed. Later the same day, I contacted Sears where I had bought the hot water heater and learned that parts for it would still be under warranty so I arranged for a service call. The next morning, I noticed that I had hot water. I kept the appointment with the Sears technician to get his opinion. He too asked for the manual and said that the electronic panel on the hot water heater was fine. He commented that sometimes hot water heaters with these electronic panels just need a reboot and that the act of unplugging it the day before would have done that. It is now three weeks later and it is still working as it should be. I am very glad to not have listened to the fellow from Aire Max. I would be out a minimum of $1500 if I had unnecessarily replaced a perfectly good hot water heater.

Max did a fantastic and efficient job removing 2 old water heaters, capping all the old piping and installing a new tankless water heater. Max was courteous and respectful of my family and house. Max clearly knew what was needed and everything went according to plan (and estimate). His helper wasn't as good but Max did most of the work. Control of water leaking from old tanks and cleanup could have been better.

We have used Max on 3 occasions for troubling shooting problems. One of these was a shorted wire from the initial installation by the builder, which is difficult to find. He comes when he says he will be there.

I came home at 7 p.m. to find my furnace had quit during one of the coldest weeks of the winter. I called Max who arrived a short time later. Max was prepared, professional and courteous. He replaced some parts, had the furnace running again and gave us some great advice in order to avoid problems in the future. I highly recommend Max and this company.

I called AireMax on Monday at around 4pm as my clients' air handler was not working proprly. House was loosing heat and client was complaining. What a great service. Technician came at 8:00pm on a Family Long Weekend to solve this problem. Problem got resolved, I was so happy to hear this. Great job!

My thermostat died today: the screen went blank and then the boiler went cold. Logged onto HomeStars and found Max because of the quality of his reviews. Despite it being a holiday Monday, he took my phone call immediately, asked good questions, and advised what time he could come by to replace the thermostat. He did a great job, as quoted, and was very quick/efficient. He also gave me some good ideas on air-conditioning and advice on boiler maintenance. Max is just outstanding. Coldest day of the year, it's a Sunday. I wake up to my furnace cutting out. Sent Max text, he came and had to address a fundamental installation error. He fixed it without any of the usual disparaging comments a skilled tradesman might use when they see shoddy work! I'd recommend Max for any work that relates to heating, AC, and gas line issues.

We always call Aire Max whenever we have trouble with our furnace which was installed poorly by another company. They arrive same day and are always reasonable with rates only charging for what needs to be done.
