Boonstra Heating and Air Conditioning

When we got up this morning our furnace wasn't working. A technician was at our home within a couple hours of our calling Boonstra. He fixed the problem, explained everything in detail and was friendly yet professional. We have an annual maintenance agreement with Boonstra and the part and service call were covered. We were extremely satisfied with the service we received today.

Called Boonstra for a furnace tune-up ($132.99). Talked to the tech and was advised that it wouldn't be worth doing the tune-up, rather a new system was required. Received an invoice for a 'diagnostic' ($129.99)...three dollars less, and no work was done. My complaints were dismissed, and the customer service was extremely unprofessional. Won't be calling these guys again.

Furnace broke down in the middle of the night. I had a service person in my home by 10;00 a.m. A salesman there shortly after wards and a new furnace installed in the evening. From the service guy to the salesman to the installers...FANTASTIC!!! A job well done and would call them again. Thanks so much.

We had to awesome had working guys re do our heating and ac. They work from early morning to late evening to make sure our heat stayed on during -30 weather. Adjusted duct work around my reno and were extremely professional. Thanks to Mike and Evan from Boonstra who did an amazing job.

Excellent customer service, pleasant and helpful technicians. Chris was great to work with. I appreciated the follow up to ensure all went well. I would recommend this company for your heating and A/C needs.

Prompt service to try and repair furnace. Technician suggested a few solutions but thought it best to talk to a representative about a new unit. Chris was over the next day and with no B.S. took a look at what I had and then made several suggestions. We decided on a new furnace and AC. Tom and Matt arrived 3 days later and quickly installed the new units. They were clean, efficient and courteous. When a neighbour came over in a panic because a pipe burst, Tom rushed over and found the water shut off. Service above and beyond.

My humidifier broke and I first asked for a diagnosis and end up buying a new one from Boonstra. I find their service to be excellent, the dispatchers were warm and courteous, and technician (Luiz) was very knowledgeable and professional. I ended up spending more than what I wanted, but I was persuaded that it was the best value because he waived the diagnostic fee and did a free furnace tune-up. The services was great, no issues, and I didn't even need to supervise (although if i wanted he would explain everything to me). It's not the cheapest but I feel the service quality I get was indeed worth it.

Great service! Right from the first call to the office, to the
serviceman, the salesman and the installers. Very professional, had the problem addressed and the installation
complete the very next day after I called.

My furnace died and it was the coldest weekend too - -27C. The 2 guys installed it just before the coldest weekend came professionally, friendly, and quickly. It took 10 hours but it was a difficult install - crawl space.

The city was crippled with a major snow storm, our furnace had not worked in two days. We feared the scheduled installation of our new furnace would be postponed; however, the team from Boonstra showed up on time and ready to work undaunted by the weather.

Before they even started, they placed runners and stair covers from the front door right through to the furnace room. They even wore shoe covers in the house. Despite the level of snow and slush outside, they did their very best to keep the inside of the house clean.

In far less time than we had anticipated, the old furnace, AC unit and hot water tank were removed, and the work area was thoroughly cleaned before they began the install of the new units.

With the abundance of snow that had fallen the previous evening, the men had a more difficult time reaching the AC unit outside on one side of the house, and the venting on the other side; but they did it, and acted as if the high snow and bad weather was something they had to deal with every day.

I watched them working and saw them approach every task with the highest degree of professionalism. They replaced all of the old equipment, including all the AC lines and the vent piping. Each step in the process was done on purpose and with an obvious greater plan in mind. They knew exactly what to do and when to do it.

By the time the job was finished early that afternoon, the work site was completely cleaned. All the connections, piping, venting, duct work and wiring were all done neatly and professionally, and I have no doubt they are all well above code requirements.

Before leaving, they took us through every feature of the new furnace and ensured we understood how to operate and care for our new equipment. They even set the thermostat to our desired level and walked us through how to program it when we were ready.

All in all they did an awesome job and we highly recommend them.
