SIS Exterior Renovations (S.I.S.)

SIS removed the original windows from 1964 and supplied North Star Vinyl windows in accordance with our condo specifications. The installation went well and the inside wood trim was replaced without damage. A good job.

We replaced a door to our attached garage this fall.

I needed to replace 15 windows in my home. A combination of being Window Wise certified and providing North Star products (which are very well reviewed) led me to SIS. From the time Leo entered my house through to the completion of the project, I have been very impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of the staff, and the great quality of their work. During the project, exterior rotting was discovered beside two windows, which SIS helped remedy correctly (which I’m certain another installer would have skipped over, or taken a shortcut to fix). I’m very happy with my decision to go with SIS, and I’ll be using SIS again for another project coming up. I like what Malcolm, the lead installer, said to me one day, “I treat this house like my mama’s house.” Great job, SIS!

I discussed our project with Jody and he made a personal visit to our house and had some very helpful siggestions on making a couple of changes to our current windows. The work crew was very efficient and showed great workmanship in fixing an existing problem when they removed the siding. We are very happy with the look of the new windows and are looking forward to the energy efficient cost savings this winter.

I had my home re-sided and I thought the service was exemplary beginning with Kevin in sales to Francois in project completion. My home was completed on time and the crew on-site was professional. The head of the crew, Larry, paid particular attention to detail and his workmanship is evident in the final product. I am happy with SIS and would recommend them.

We met the SIS team at the Calgary Home Show. Their enthusiasm for the their company and products led us to pursue a quote. Kevin, our salesman, was most knowledgeable and left a very strong impression that this was the company to keep at the top of the list. Donnie, our installer, came by to measure and alleviate any concerns we had about problems that might arise in a 1970's house. We were left knowing what might come up, how it would be handled and what it would cost. Fortunately, everything went smoothly. And I must mention Megan who responded to the many emails back and forth. She kept on top of my questions and ensured everything ran smoothly in the background. I also wish to acknowledge Donnie, Ken, Billie and Tate for making the installation a pleasant experience.

To everyone that helped on this project, what a delight it has been! We are thrilled with our new windows and extremely impressed with the installation team. It was touching to see how much attention was given to cleaning up and respecting our property. Not all contractors operate with such a high standard of integrity. We will certainly be quick to offer referrals on both the North Star products and SIS.

We had 9 window and two doors replaced on our home. Salesperson Kevin was out to visit us to prepare an estimate for the windows and tell us about their product lines. He was a true professional with a great sense of humour and he knows his product.

From the salesman, to the installers and the great office staff at SIS Systems we want to say Great Job to all. We could not be happier with with product and all the great people. We are planning to replace the remaining windows and then the siding and we most certainly will be using SIS Systems once again.

I have a duplex with a window right in the bath/shower. Over the years the window and molding around it became cracked and mouldy. The tiles around the tub below this window cracked and water seeped in behind them. It all needed to be replaced. A friend recommended SIS. I called Leo and he gave me an estimate over the phone. I called back to say let's go for it and he came to the house and made exact measurements for the window. When the day came to install, they were here on time and got a lot done on the first day. They had to remove some house siding outside to get the old window out. The new window was put in and then the wall had to be dealt with. They came in, removed all the tiles on the entire wall, tore out all the dry rot gyproc and wood and replaced it all. They got rid of any mould, and put it all back new right up to the gyproc. It took them almost 2 days to finsh everything. We finished it by tiling the tub ourselves. They put the siding back on the house all where it belonged and cleaned up. A piece of siding actually came loose so we phoned and let them know. They were here within 3-4 days to put it back in where it belonged. All in all, very happy with the service and the workers who came and did the install.

The crew that did the installations were both professional and prompt. The crew worked together so well, and it was all installed and cleaned up with no problems. We have recommended SIS to friends and neighbours and also would hire this company for other projects in the future.
