I required curtains for a large bowed window in our family room after a long search we came across Marie from shades of home! She was super friendly and very helpful with choosing fabric and rod type. She was very effeciant and quick to deliver the finished product!! Would defenitly recommend to friends and family!

A friend recommended that I consult with Marie for drapes in my living room and two bedrooms. I have a busy schedule but was going to consider a couple of other alternatives. That was not necessary. Shades of Home clearly understood what I was looking for and provided me with options that fit my budget. The installation process was very efficient. With a joint living and dining space, our aim was to achieve symmetry with a casual style that suited both a sitting area and eating area. The spaces also required some privacy.

We visited the design centre which was followed up with an in-home consultation with a designer. The process was exceptional with samples left at our home so we could live with the fabrics to get a feel for what we liked best.

After our selection was made, we had sheer horizontal blinds installed for privacy and non-functional drapes for style and the finishing touch. The installation was only a few weeks after our order was placed.

The measurements were on spot and the installer was clean, organized and professional.

We just moved in to a new two story house in Mississauga and hired Shades of Home to get shades/blinds for all the major windows of our house (total of almost 15 shades). Marie was great in guiding us through all the different choices. She came to our house to see the space as well.

While it did take some time for the order to come through, the shades were installed expediently by Raj, and he was always happy to help (whether by phone or coming to the house) for minor adjustments.

The product itself was amazing. We got mainly mandalay shades, but also shutters in the bathrooms. The major windows were motorized and the product works amazingly.

We encountered a minor issue when the incorrect shutter was installed in our bathroom. Marie arranged for the product to be exchanged immediately and now everything is top notch.

Great customer service! And they had VERY competitive pricing. For all 15 shades (with multiple that were motorized), Shades of Home was STILL cheaper than the same number of shades WITHOUT motorization from the competitors.

Looking for blinds without a heavy handed sales pitch? Shades of Home is your best option! I would highly recommend them. Marie came to my home within days of my calling her. She was extremely knowledgeable, explained the plethora of options available and took exact measurements with a special tool (so there is no room for errors). She also provided me with a quotation the same day. I didn't have to deal with any pushy sales pitch or marketing gimmicks. Solid, professional services.
