Purchase wood flooring at Quality Rugs of Canada Limited and Supplies to Install
This individual was recommended by a realestate agent's friend. Did not know this friend or his firm but I took the word of the realestate agent involved. Sandor S. better known as "Alex" of CTD Homes was supposed to buy the flooring at Quality Rugs of Canada Limited, ordered it and gave me a copy of the invoice for such. Then requested the funds $8000.00 to pick it up plus other supplies to install said flooring. This was on April 12th, 2010. By April 20th, 2010 I still had no wood delivered nor did I see or hear from (Alex) Sandor S. of CTD Homes again at this point. As he left all his pertinent info. with the invoice from Quality Rugs of Canada, a very reputable company, plus his credit card no. on the invoice also as deposit it gave me a false sense of security. The floor company tried to put the sale through his Visa Card when they could not contact him to pick up his order. Needless to say they could not get $50.00 off his Visa as they kept trying over and over for any amount. As I needed the flooring desperately in order to take my household out of storage,at a cost of $315.00 per month, I finally borrowed the amount he took to purchase the wood floor and hired a more reputable contractor who lives in the condo I was moving into. On top of all this I am disabled and very ill; at an age where $8000.00 is like a million to someone else. Could not reach him repeatedly until one day he called back and admitted he took the money but had spent it on himself and other things so did not have it any longer. All this time I am sleeping on concrete floors in an empty condo with blankets and pillow borrowed from friends. Considering I had spinal surgery, just one of many health issues, this was a nightmare!!!! He knew all this and took advantage of my situation and ill health. He even left voice messages on my voicemail admitting he took the money and has to return it but even though the police, bailiffs, etc. have contacted him verbally regarding this issue he still has not returned the funds. He is the one laughing all the way to the bank while I am suffering and cannot complete all the construction started and needed here (older building)as I am on a small fixed income now for life. (Alex) Sandor S. of CTD Homes on 8 Maple Grove, Richmond Hill, L4E 2T3 is the most dishonest individual or contractor of any type I have ever had the misfortune of meeting. The friend of my real estate agent is not much better for other reasons! Neither company kept their contracts or promises nor completed their work which was defective from the start and on top of it all one of them actually took money under false pretenses for work and supplies not purchased, delivered, or wood flooring done. Did not hear from either individual and Alex of CTD Homes never came back at all or returned the money he took for supplies never received from him!

- Not take money without supplying the products or services. Do their work at least ("Alex" Sandor S. of CTD Homes). he never returned with either the money ($8000.00) that he took under false pretenses about picking up the wood floor and supplies for it and he never even attempted to pick up the floor he had ordered on my behalf
- Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
- STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They seem to be partners in crime and found out they work together. Especially the one who took the $8000.00 for his own use and not what it was meant to be spent on, certainly not on himself("Alex" Sandor S. of CTD Homes). I am not a rich person who can give funds away to anyone randomly for no reason!!!! Be careful who you let into your home unless you have unlimited funds.
