Krumpers Solar Blinds

We have had our blinds for 3 years now, and I just have to say that there is rarely a day that goes by that I don't think about my blinds - how they reduce the heat in the summer, and keep that warm air in come winter. The view is great as well.

They remain clean and easy to care for. The customer service provided by Krumpers - with seasonal reminders to switch them? You can't ask for more!

My house faces due south - the kitchen and porch facing due south have always been unbearable in summer months from May through September.
I had Krumpers solar blinds installed in kitchen and porch in may 2021. for the first time in many years, I was able to sit in the porch without secondary portable AC unit being used.
Empirically, it reduced the kitchen temperature from approx 30 C to 23 C.

I live in a condo in toronto on a high floor. I have two sets of windows in my living/dining room that are 8.5 ft wide x 6.5 ft high -- south facing, so LOTS of sunshine in the first part of the day!! Thanks to Krumpers Solar Blinds, I can continue to enjoy the gorgeous view while the blinds block the heat from making my condo a sauna during the summers!!! Diana is very professional and knowledgeable and her team is outstanding!!! Yuri is an expert installer and all around GREAT guy!!! I highly recommend this company, the product and their service!!!!

Our blinds have blended seamlessly into our home. Our heating costs are less this year, I can only assume due in part to this addition. We keep them in place 95% of the time and barely notice they are there. The temperature in our home feels just great! Also, what a lovely family who did our installation!

Experienced our first winter and found that the blinds gave us a sense of wide space with better light. It also gave an appreciation of the outdoors while still in our warm surroundings as one can see through the blinds.

Summer side of the blinds are now in place and look forward to the experience.

We were looking for something to keep our sun room warmer as it is considered the woman of the house's preferred room when the sun is out. There are windows on three sides. Always cool in the winter months and hot in the summer.

After installation there was a noticeable difference in the sun room over the winter months - difference from living room (attached) was 3 degrees. Very comfortable.

Waiting for the summer months to reverse the blinds to reduce the heat and keep the sun room cooler and more comfortable.

Definitely do not regret the purchase and highly recommend the product

We have a west facing cottage, and had recently bought a west facing home. We love these blinds - now we can eat dinner at the dining room table without sunglasses! They really block the heat as well, and we can enjoy our beautiful views. When winterizing the cottage - really easy to just flip around.

I had made inquiries re: solar blinds with Diana, asking lots of questions. She answered all my questions thoroughly without rushing me and no pressure. Because of an Expedited surgery date we had to make decisions quickly and Diana was able to help me measure on FaceTime and put a rush on the order to get the blinds delivered before my husband was out of commission for a lengthy amount of time. I really appreciated her kindness <3 The blinds are great too!

At first I thought that Krumper Blinds were beyond what I would ever pay for window coverings. However, once I started investigating prices, I found that by paying a little more, I could gain energy efficiency, reduce the strain on and increase the longevity of my HVAC system, keep a clear view of the outside world (this was big for me), increase the overall comfort of my home, provide additional UV protection for the interior of my home, allow my kitty to comfortably spend time in her tree at the front window without feeling too hot in the direct western sun in the summer nor cold in the winter, all while the blinds gradually pay for themselves by my lower utility costs.

Diana and Yuri are friendly and informative and just nice people with whom to do business. Yuri takes great pride in doing a good job.

I had Krumper Blinds installed over 2 years. The dual sides of the newer blinds are marked “summer” and “winter”— a nice touch.

I found reasonably priced and quality simple cellular blinds to install over the solar blinds for privacy in the bedrooms. Some people like frills and swoops of curtain, but the simpleness of the Krumper and cellular blinds works for me.

One issue for me has been the unwinding of the blinds: at the turn-over of the seasons, some of my blinds unwound at the top. I have never been able to reset the amount wound at the top along with the set of the chain for the proper length of the blinds. Some are now too short and some too long.

Another improvement to the blinds would be something to lock the length in place once it has been set for each window.

I am really happy that I have invested in these blinds. Along with new windows, additional insulation in the attic, insulated siding and an R16 garage door, the Krumper Blinds have made my 1985 townhouse very energy-efficient, a lot more comfortable in the new climate and I feel ready to face more climate change and higher utility prices.
