Giancarlo was great and very transparent right from the beginning when we were considering CHC, including realistic timelines for design, getting permits and the construction. He was involved throughout and answered any questions we had, often right away. The budget we agreed to at the beginning was the
same at the end which really helped with financing the rest of our renovation. The design Giancarlo proposed was simple and elegant and gave us a lot of opportunity to space plan with furniture and fixtures.

Mal was very diligent on the design and permit side and was great at communicating next steps which made the process seem very straightforward on our end. Chad was great to work with on site with the framing and envelope.

Chad really demonstrated a great deal of professionalism with the quality of his craft and his conduct during the addition. He is a very pleasant guy and was very helpful with explaining next steps of the construction.

Enzo was a great finisher with an amazing attention to detail and taking a lot of care and effort to correct a lot of builder mistakes from the original 1998 construction. He even pointed out damaged floorboards from the original construction that needed to be replaced and leveled out our existing floor so that you could not tell the difference between the existing and new.

CHC also have access to some really great trades, and I got to know Danny the Electrician very well. The insulation, stucco and kitchen counter trades were also very professional, and Mal, Chad and Enzo did a great job organizing them.

People are pretty amazed at the quality of our addition and renovation. The skylights, window and sliding doors bring in very nice light year-round. The finishing is absolutely amazing, and we now have a very open and spacious floor plan that looks seamless between the renovation and new addition.

All together this was a great experience. We appreciate the accountability and dedication of all the people from CHC that helped us enhance our home. We would highly recommend CHC to anyone.

We hired Complete Home Construction to build an addition on to our Toronto semi-detached home. The entire process with Complete Home Construction was very smooth. The team was exceptional in their communication throughout the process including the many points during pre-construction where we wanted to make changes. The construction of the addition was managed very well at every stage. The lead onsite, Dhonny, showed that he was a master of all trades. He was always willing to walk us through what he was doing and make small changes as we requested. We are very happy with the addition - it has changed how our family lives in our home. We are very much enjoying our new sunroom! The total experience has been top drawer from design to completion. The only holdup was acquiring permits which was out of CHC's control. What should have taken 10 days took 3.5 months through the Hamilton office.
Once underway, with Dhon on site, things went very smoothly. Dhon worked every day until completion, bringing in colleagues as needed. He is a craftsman, skilled in all aspects of the job, with great attention to detail "I'm measuring 3 times Doug, don't want to be out a 1/16!". He frequently communicated with Mal who quarterbacked the job, acquiring all materials and advising as required. The quality of the materials is top notch and the room is a delight.

Mal, When I sit in my sunroom, my mind still stops to ponder, in appreciation, of all the wonderful support you and Dhonny gave me; all the way from committing yourself to involvement in reinstalling a sunroom roof that had nothing to do with your company to the final clean up, leaving a very happy customer. Dhonny, It's been almost a month since you installed my new sunroom roof, but every time I look at it, it feels like yesterday. I remember your welcoming "Good morning!" each day, not to forget the few spots of caulking that I found on the lawn that bought a smile to my face. And every time it rains, I am still so amazed and humbled at all the water gushing from the drain spout instead of leaking from the roof. We wanted to express our thanks for the build of our new four season sunroom addition. Giancarlo and Mal's customer service and support throughout the entire process was excellent and I don't think we could be happier with the end result.

We also wanted to show our appreciation for Dhonny. He was so thoughtful, skilled and just all around wonderful to work with over the last couple of months. He treated our addition as if it was a build on his own home and I think the result shows that dedication to excellence. We have been using our sunroom for two months now and we can honestly say that it has been completely worthwhile the wait. Chad's fine workmanship and good humour has been very much appreciated. The rest of the team, Giancarlo, Mal and others provided us great service throughout the process. The sunroom is bright even on cloudy and rainy days and is an oasis for us to de-stress from the pandemic.

Review for complete home construction

Our sunroom was something we had wanted to build and had planned and designed for a long time. When we finally decided to build we signed with Complete Home Construction back in the summer of 2020. In the spring of 2021, our project finally got started once we ironed out a lot of unforeseen problems with the city permit, tree by laws and tree protection issues. Our “crew” was one person (occasionally 2). We were very dubious about how a crew of one could accomplish our build and we had contacted Giancarlo regarding our reservations, but Giancarlo told us to put our faith in his methods and be prepared to be amazed. Over the course of our construction, we were truly amazed at Dhonny’s skill and meticulous attention to detail.

We truly appreciate the expertise of the “unseen crew” of Complete Home Construction in dealing with some of the construction issues that came about during the demolition of the old part of the house and the subsequent rebuilding of the sunroom. We were constantly made aware of any difficulties and resolutions were discussed with us and options presented.

There were issues with the supply of windows, siding and our exterior faux rock veneer for our build due to overwhelming construction demand. Our construction was put on hold a couple of times while we waited for our materials to be shipped in or to be built. We could of simply went with something that was readily available but we wanted our sunroom to look like it was part of the original house and not an add on, and we’re glad we kept to that decision.

Our finished sunroom is all we could of hoped for. Many thanks to Dhonny, Giancarlo and Mal for everything they did, and to all the other unseen crew members.

It was a pleasure to work with this company. From the first person we contacted to the designer, project manager, and the person who did the job - they were all professional, friendly, and did a great job. The work was done when they said it would be and the workmanship was impeccable. I would highly recommend this company.

We recently had an all-season enclosure done by CHC for our upstairs balcony. Giancarlo helped us with the design of the custom windows and had great suggestions on what would look best on our home to maximize curb appeal. The design is great and really does look like it could be part of the original design of the house. I also cannot say better things about the installation process. Given that this was a balcony enclosure, scaffolding had to be put up but that did not phase our installer Donnie. Donnie was so courteous throughout the entire process, communicating exact timelines and even informing our neighbours of key installation milestones that might be towards their side of the house. Donnie was truly amazing, I cannot say better things about him. He does excellent, clean work and always with a smile. We are so happy with the end product and this has been one of the smoothest renovations we have ever had done. I would highly recommend CHC for their excellent quality work and even better service.
