Decided to update rental apartment.with glass railing.
Found Art Metal through Home Stars. Got a prompt quote from Alex from emailed photos I sent of $1738 + tax.. Got second quote from our general contractor's referral, that was over $3000 + tax.
Difference - all stainless steel, vs wrought iron with stainless steel clamps.
Very pleased with results, also that I can change the railing colour as it is painted.
Impressed with quick responses to my queries. The installers were spiffy in uniform attaire & polite.

My neighbour and I wanted to replace the rotted wooden gate between our houses with a metal gate that could lock due to breakins in the area. I called Art Metal and they responded promptly, sent someone out to do measurements, and delivered a quality and good-looking product. They two reasons this rating is 9/10 instead of 10/10 are 1) They said they would put a rush on it but it still took 6 weeks (they didn't make any promises but said they'd try), and 2) that the installers left a fair amount of debris. To their credit though, once I called Alex to let him know, within a few days he had the guys out to collect the rest of the debris. In the end, I'm very satisfied with the company and their work and would definitely recommend them.

This company is well deserving of its excellent reviews on this website. The new railings that they created and installed for the front of our house are just beautiful. We did not even bother looking for a quote from another company, which was unusual for us. Very professional company.

This is the update I promised earlier on 2013. I simply was told that the painting of the railing could not continue because the guys were in -5 degree weather, and the paint was sticking. They promised to be back by May, 2014, in time for an event. They came back as promised and finished the work, leaving some touch up paint behind as a courtesy. Alex said he would return, and he did. People, it is so refreshing to see that someone in the trades industry recognizes the value of honesty and integrity. Beautiful job, class A service, honest and attentive. I wish I could say the same for the door people, but that's another story for another time.
