Install pavers, retaining wall, grass, restucco outdoor chimney
We had W & W Landscaping install a few landscaping features to our home - 1000 square feet of pavers, 75 feet of retaining wall, a patio, restucco a fireplace and a new back lawn. We contracted them to perform the work in November of last year. Work wasn't completed until the beginning of this year during the heavy rainfall. The company owner, Mark Guan, insisted that the rainfall would have no effect on the paver installation. 6 months into the year - even without further rainfall, the pavers began to sink and the interlocking sand began to fall apart. WHen I stand on some of the pavers, they actually move. I have tried for months to get this company back to repair the work completed. I've called them and even send them certified letters only to have them returned unopened. They apparently do not honor their warranty. THe paver workmanship is amateur. Curves in the paver path were cut at mitered angles as opposed to a smooth continuous curve. They didn't compact the fill below the pavers and the compactor that they did use left scars all over the pavers. They applied the paver sealer too thickly which left streaks of white sealer over sections of pavers. I also found out later that although the company is Bonded, it wasn't bonded enough to cover my project and the company's workman's compensation was not active during the time the work was performed. There are plenty of well qualified paver company's that are at the same price range as W & W Landscaping. Don't let them fool you into thinking they are "Professionals" because they are not. Also, the stucco on the fireplace has already cracked in multiple places.
