Firemen Movers

This my second move with Firemen Movers, and I was just as pleased the second time around! The crew were terrific and went out of their way to make the day as stress free as possible for me. They treated my possessions as though they were their own. They were a great group of guys with a good sense of humour which made the whole experience a positive one. I would not hesitate to recommend Firemen Movers.

I used Fireman Movers, and it was an object lesson in how moving is done right. I hadn't moved in at least eight years, and mid-pandemic might also not have been the best idea. But I needn't have worried: these are not just professional movers, but they're fire fighters pre-service, and in-service.
The move was hugely efficient. I made this a bit easier by moving some things myself (i.e. the kitchen) a few days before. All that remained was my furniture, linens, art, and bedroom articles.
These movers were REALLY express. They showed up on time, got my stuff out of my place in under an hour, and met me around the corner at my new place with nearly half the job done.
Cheerful, friendly, good problem-solving, and excellent care with PPE and Covid safety measures.

I have used Firemen Movers on four occasions and they were splendid every time. Very reasonable cost, no surprises and great office and location staff. I never had to worry about choosing their services and I recommend them to everyone.

The teams (we had 2 days of moves so the team changed a bit) were on time, polite, careful, organized, efficient and hard working. Not a single item was broken, damaged or scratched in any way. Our price quote was accurate. Would definitely use this company again and recommend them to others.

We moved from a house to an apartment. They showed up on time and were very careful in moving our things. The move was done in less time and for a lower cost than the initial estimate.

We know from experience how stressful moves can be. This move was as stress free as it could be. Lorne was great when he came to estimate our two day move. Gave us great confidence that we had made the right choice. Dealing with Paisley and Melissa was a pleasure. Very responsive.

Day 1 was disposal of surplus down sizing furniture. Thanks to Brendan and Andrew for taking on the challenge of the sectional sofa removal from the basement. You succeeded with an impossible task.

Day 2 went amazingly well. The team of Jamie, Josh, Nahum and Rodney went into action like a well oiled machine. Very professional, quick and efficient. No damage.

Everyone at Firemen Movers were so professional, but also friendly and great to deal with. The best experience with a company that I can remember for a long time.
And the final cost came in significantly lower than the quote!
We would have Firemen Movers do our next move without a second thought.

We went with Firemen Movers as we liked the story of the company and thought we had the highest chance of getting professional, ethical, honest movers which, in the GTA, isn't exactly easy to find. We were correct. They came and gave a quote which was certainly reasonable for the size of the house (3850sq ft plus basement contents). You get what you pay for. They came to the house on time and managed to wedge their truck into our weird shared driveway. Loaded everything very fast, it wasn't a small amount of work, especially some of the odd items like the giant fridge / freezer that had to come up some curved stairs. There were items I was going to take myself but they volunteered to do it as they had better equipment than I did for protecting everything (brewing equipment, paintings, etc). There was a small amount of damage to a wall but they told us about it immediately. They obviously felt bad about it but I didn't care, I've moved enough to know damage happens and I own a putty knife. What matters is we know about it so we can fix it, and to me that shows honesty and integrity.

The next day they arrived at the new house and loaded it all up, were very careful with everything, and we just sort of sat back and arranged the place.

The crew both days were very friendly, well organized, had everything they needed to do the job.. I even picked up a few tips for when I need to move some large heavy items.

We will 100% be calling them again when we move to our finished house in July 2021.

We moved a storage locker full of furniture from Toronto up to Collingwood. This was all efficiently handled with friendly by professional loading and unloading within about 4 hours including the travel, and my cost included transportation and fuel costs. All arrived safely. Eric and Brendan were courteous and engaging. One thing I didn’t know: many of the movers are in training to be firemen, and the company was started by 2 firemen. Some of the movers are at school to get that fireman certification. Good people.

Firemen quoted right in the middle of three quotes we received but the amazing customer service experience leading up to our move is what made us decide to go with them. On moving day the crew worked harder than any I've ever seen before. Upon arriving at our new home furniture would not get up the staircase. They found a solution to get it in directly onto the 2nd floor, didn't leave us stranded without a way to move in and went above and beyond. Actual cost was right on quote. I highly (highly!) recommend this outstanding company. I'd give them 6 stars if I could. Thank you Firemen for making our move into our first home such a good experience.

Four years ago, I used Firemen Movers to move me from a house in Toronto to a short term rental, then to a house in Port Hope and two years later to an apartment in Toronto. Excellent service from teams of friendly efficient young fire fighters most of whom are at various stages of their training. Twice I've had furniture in storage at their facility and it came in great shape. They have a relationship with several charities so much of the furniture that you no longer have room for will find a new home through the movers. Would never use any other movers.
