Kingsway Paving & Interlocking Ltd

I contacted Kingsway because of work they did for one of my clients. We needed to repave our 100' long, 12' wide mutual driveway (last done in 1986!).
The estimate was done about a month prior to the actual work being done. They are very reliable: the job was done on exactly the day they promised. The quality of the paving was excellent, and they did an outstanding job of cleaning up afterwards. My only issue was that they required significant supervision with respect to the re-grading we were looking for. Prior to the job, 100% of the runoff that went to the back of our homes went into our back yard. The objective was 50/50 runoff between our back yard and our neighbour's (they paid for half the job). The end result ended up being 75/25 - better, but not perfect. Of course, there's no "undo" button with paving, unless you're willing to pay twice to do the job all over again.
Bottom line: they do a great job of paving, and they keep their promises. However if you have exacting requirements with respect to grading, be prepared to supervise and make sure that it's done to your standards.

We needed our driveway repaved and found a few paving companies in the flyers that come to the home. I called a few other companies and got some estimates. I then called Kingsway and they came out and discussed thoroughly the work that they would be done and there price was right as well. The job was completed as they said it would be done and I was pleased with the work and we still are. I would recommend Kingsway.

Tried to come to a solution on several occasions but the problem still exist and is getting worse especially when it rains.
Joseph informed us that his professional company does not have the necessary equipment to fix the problem. We suggested and got quotes, submitted the cheapest one, from another company with the equipment to fix our driveway. There is complete silence regarding this problem. Definitely would not recommend this company to anyone. This company refused such a simple solution. This problem started since June 30, 2015. First review with
photos posted below. In the Winter these pot holes are going to turn into ice creating a safety issue.
This professional company who said they have been in business for 30 years threatened us as senior citizens with legal action for complaining. Nadia left us a message on Aug 15, 2015 with this threat. Is this a professional company's solution. I hope for many Summers to come, no other homeowner, especially seniors, would have to go through this.

My wife and I were very pleased with the quality of work done by Kingsway Paving. Angelo and his crew were great. They enlarged my driveway in the front of my house and installed interlocking bricks in the backyard for a patio and landscaping. The work they did was better then I expected it to be. Met with representative of Kingsway to have my driveway paved. Based on the meeting went forward with the agreement. Unfortunately the service received was not as promised (there was quality & damage issues). The representative displayed extremely poor Customer Service - would not deal with Kingsway again and definitely never with the Sales Rep.

We had this company two times. There are positive and negative things. The design and the stones look great. But we had to call many times to start the work. They used black road curb on a brown house, it was supposed to be grey. Our shovel disappeared. After it was done, stones were sinking down and they forgot a huge curb piece. After many calls and promises, nobody ever came. Oh, they also cut all cable and internet wires and it took time to reconnect them, but nobody charged us for this.

We contracted Kingsway in March 2013 to do the interlocking of our driveway plus a retaining wall on our raised front yard. The work was completed on the timelines indicated, and it was MOSTLY ok. The driveway was fine (but for two items: they did some damage to our neighbours adjoining driveway, which they offer to fix but never did, and they didn’t use the stones colour we had chosen for the borders, instead using some of the ones they had in stock). For the retaining wall we had some concerns that have asked Kinsgway repeatedly since the completion of the work, but have not gotten fixed or addressed– always we get the promise “we will look at that when we are on the area”, but it’s been over a year and still nothing.

Apparently the company is good if the work is ok on first try. But if there are issues, it’s a pain to get them to fix them.

I had a visit from the owner of Kingsway today and was reimbursed for repairs made to my interlock job.
It took a while, but I am happy that they responded.
They do seem to care about their reputation.

I highly recommend Kingsway Paving. My sister had her driveway done by them and was extremely happy and recommended them to me. Angelo and his crew did a beautiful job. My patio in the backyard is a dream come true. We have had many BBQ and parties there and my husband and I are extremely happy with the work they did. And we get many compliments on our driveway and we have recommended Kingsway Paving to many friends and neighbors Thank you Kingsway for the beautiful job and we hope to enjoy it for years to come..

Why did you reject my review??? I was telling all the truth! So homestar is protecting the bad company not the customer?? My review to this company was before they start to build up their reviews with homestar!! They did treat us with no honest!! Now they care about reviews? Come look at our backyard you'll understand what kind of work they did! I even send you the photos while they were here just because I couldnt find the receipt from years ago and you rejected my review?? wow homestar, good job

We call this company and signed an contract for the backyard patio job 2 years ago, waited for 3 months while we have decided give up to do the project and they called said they'll come for the job and it has to be next day and force us to decide right away. They brought a lot of big machine and truck and trying to finish the job in 1 day. During the job, the use those machines to dig the soil next to the wall of our house instead of using shovel to dig, the machine keep hit the walls that we're so worry the wall will be damaged, after my husband tell them to be careful they still not stop. Also when we signed the agreement it supposed should be polymeric to filled out the patio, but they brought regular sand and trying to fool us it's polymeric. I may not be an expert but I'm not that silly don't know the difference. After I told them it's not the right material, they said they will come back to finish the surface sometime that week. They didn't finish the job but still ask us to pay $6000 that day. Next day, they came to finish the surface without contact me first while I was away that day, they did the job terrible and left all the garbage, plastic bags, ropes, and even some of the tools they didn't want to bring them back. Because they're trying to finish the job in 1 day, the base was not firm enough to settle the brick, and maybe I was not home the day when they came to finish the surface and they can't get the remain $800, the polymeric was not filled even and dirty everywhere, it was awful!!! I have to bring a swipe and try to fill out the sand evenly myself but still can't make it very well. When we got home see the plastic bags piled under a brick right in front of our front door, we realized they've came and that's the way they let us know they're here. They called 11 times and left 5 messages just to ask for the remain $800. Now our backyard patio was not even and all the weeds come out right after the winter, some of the area close to our house are even collecting water. I'm so so regret to hire this company for our patio job, don't trust on their website, I guess they only do perfect job for house like mansion. I wish I know HomeStars this good place at that time so I won't make the wrong decision. It's an awful experience and I will never recommend this company.
