It wasn't an easy job, but these guys pulled it off wonderfully. They were very accomodating in working with me and fixing my shoty workmanship. There are two very slight bulges at butt joints, which I'm not sure if they just weren't sanded enough or what, but my ceiling was far from flat, so it's plausible this was due to a ceiling joist being too saggy. But if that's the case, then the only thing I wish is that they would have brought it to my attention before leaving. He could have said "I'm afraid this is the best I can do since your joist sags too much" -instead of leaving me to guess what went wrong. Still, it's only two butt joints (both at opposite ends of the same joists), and like I said, they did a hell of a job fixing over everything else in my old house. One thing is for sure, it was money well spent and I'm glad I didn't opt to do it myself!
