The Duct Cleaning Specialists

After doing some research online into local duct cleaning companies, and coming across the amazing reviews given to The Duct Cleaning Specialists on HomeStars, I figured I would give them a call to find out more information. From the very first contact I had with Paul I was impressed with his professionalism and customer service.

Paul provided me with a comprehensive estimate, detailing everything that was to be included in that price. He seemed knowledgeable about the business, and was available to clean our ducts at a time which was convenient for our busy family. Paul mentioned his April special, as well as his Blue Jays promotion that happened to be running the week we wanted the ducts cleaned, and the further 5% discount we would receive for being a HomeStars referral.

Paul came out to our home in Hamilton on the date we had scheduled (today!). There was an accident on the highway which put him a few minutes behind and he was courteous enough to call and let us know about the delay. Paul brought Steve along to assist him, and both of these young men were polite as they introduced themselves and shook my hand. They took their shoes off at the door and got right to work. They looked at the furnace location, and explained to me where they would be running hoses and exactly what they would be doing for the cleaning. They placed covers over all the vents, and cleaned all air intake registers and vent registers thoroughly. Paul then accessed the duct work near the furnace and cleaned the duct work throughout the entire house. Afterwards he cleaned the furnace, checked the furnace and humidifier filters, and gave recommendations with regard to each. As well, a complete house duct sanitization was performed and instructions were provided as to switching back the thermostat.

Paul goes even beyond that “extra mile” with regard to customer service. From cleaning our dryer exhaust at no charge, to re-taping old connections that were no longer doing their job properly, to doing a neat, tidy and thorough job, and even to running their promotions, I cannot speak more highly of this company.

(Funny story. My young boys, who were at school for most of the cleaning, had inquired the night before about the “Duck Man”, and I told Steve the story I’d made up last night about how they were coming to remove all the (invisible) ducks in our house (saying: “do you hear that? they’re quacking all over the place.”). The kids thought the story was funny and silly. Anyway, after I told Steve the story, and once the little guys got home, he even amused my boys by playing along and quacking at them for me. LOL. )

When the job was done, all hoses, tarps, tools and equipment were put away in the truck, then Paul wrote up our invoice and went over it with me. He provided us with a receipt along with our promotional baseball tickets and a ballot for their weekly draw.

Simply stated, The Duct Cleaning Specialists did a fantastic job. Other than clean air, there’s no sign of them having been here – that is, there is no dirt, debris or other mess left for us to clean. Their pricing is beyond fair, both Paul and Steve were extremely polite, and I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone looking for a duct cleaning company that truly cares about their customers. I look forward to having them return again in a few years.
