We requested for a roof assessment on a 10 year-old roof and potentially missing shingles. They took photos and fixed our issue and provided a report and pictures which was all fantastic. It's just that it was a bit too expensive for what we needed, but didn't have the time to shop around. They suggested to replace incorrect fans on our roof for $900. They could be right in their assessment, but since we are finding them to be a bit pricey, we are going to investigate their suggestion to see if a less expensive alternative is available. They say that there could be mold problems, but instead of simply going ahead with what they suggest, I believe a check into the attic is more prudent to see if their suggestion is warranted. **UPDATE 2018-03-24** Yes, the vents that we had on our roof did need to get replaced. The roofers missed seeing that we didn't have enough nails or glue to keep our shingles in place for the long term. Another roofer found this issue. I do believe that this company does an excellent job in providing feedback and information to the consumer which is excellent, but that might add a bit to their costs. It does leave me wondering how a routine check and repair to some missing shingles to our roof would have missed looking at the cause --that there weren't enough nails and glue to prevent that from happening in the future. I still would recommend the company, but I have slight reservations.

The deficiency that was pointed out regarding your vents, conforms to manufacturer spec. Improper venting can lead to moisture build-up and can cause mold and wood rot.
