We had a major leak into our living room despite new shingles 5 years ago. The original contractor came back to look at the damage and claimed it wasn't the roof. It was the roof. A friend did a quick patch but we needed a long term solution and wondered what more might be wrong with the original job. We had no faith in the original contractor. It is difficult to find someone to repair a roof. Roofing companies wanted the entire shingling job.
