Andy is the ultimate professional. I found Andy over 5 years ago to replace 3 Windows in our aging Solarium, having moved to a fixer upper and having dealt with other trades people, Andy stood out on delivering what he promised on time with no surprises. He was available promptly when one of my older glass shattered and came in to repair and stopped the leak at no cost. I didn’t need to look for a second quote when I had the budget to replace 90% of the glass. The Solarium is now better than new due to his knowledge and quality.

I have not had positive experiences with contractors in the past. This has most definitely changed as a result my association with Andy of Solarium Repairs. From our first meeting I had a sense of confidence in Andy's knowledge, ethics, and professionalism. The estimate and work involved was clearly explained from the beginning, and throughout the work. The quality of work and chosen materials, and attention to detail is a rarity. Some extra work that was required and extra time spent were not charged. Although weather was not our friend, whenever it did co-operate, Andy and his helper, Cory arrived punctually, and worked very hard and efficiently. Time is still taken to keep in touch and ensure everything is good.
Andy, I can't thank you enough for your quality work, kindness, honesty, and advice. It goes without saying that I enthusiastically recommend you to anyone needing a job well done.

I have a lovely Zitco solarium that unfortunately had some kind of slow leak over 25 years leading to subfloor rot and a rotted and ant-eaten knee wall. Fortunately, the Solarium Repairs team - Andy and Cory - removed the mess and repaired the flooring and walls. They did so on time and on budget, even though the repairs needed were somewhat more extensive than we thought at the outset. In replacing 3 of the 5 front window panes, Andy noticed that one of the good windows had a slightly different tint so he threw in a 4th window with matching tint pro bono. As a nice finishing touch, he added a wood sill to the inside window. Overall, they did a great job, and were very pleasant and professional to work with throughout. Highly recommended!

We purchased our current house almost 4 years ago and one of the key reasons for buying the house was the Solarium. It is our prized possession. Few months ago I noticed that the Solarium eavestrough covers were worn down and there was leakage at few places so I contacted a traditional eavestrough company and they quoted me a price to replace the same and when they send their technician I noticed some cables in the eavestrough that the technician didn’t know what it was all about. There was water pond in the trough and I wanted them to fix the level. Further interactions with the traditional eavestrough company made me believe that they did not know much about Solariums let alone Solarium eavestrough which needs delicate and expert care. It was wasted money.

Then through Internet search I came across Andy Lansdown and thank God for that. Andy promptly responded to the phone call and came to our house to inspect our Solarium and identified few other maintenance issues and explained us what needs to be done and eventually addressed all of them in spite of his busy schedule at a reasonable price.
If you have a Solarium and love it, contact Andy even if everything is OK as Andy will inspect it for you and identify any maintenance/preventative issues that need to be addressed.

Foggy glass in my solarium picture window panes left me in a haze and prevented us from enjoying the beautiful view of our backyard. The company who built the solarium has long since gone out of business. Feeling frustrated, I did an internet search and found Andy from Solarium Repairs. After reading all the great reviews, I quickly knew I had found the right guy to fix this problem, even before I spoke with him. Speaking with Andy only reinforced my decision. When we met, Andy thoroughly explained what the problem was, showed me samples of the new and improved glass he was going to use, provided a fair quote and timeline. I booked the job with Andy and the result was fantastic. He detailed his work in photos, showed me the rotting wood that should never have been used in the first place, found an ant nest (which explained all the ants we were seeing in the spring but didn’t know where they were coming from) and overall, did a great job. There were extra charges due to some of the issues he found but Andy was totally fair and reasonable with the additional costs.

Once the job was done, we were extremely happy. Until we heard a loud noise coming from the solarium and found 3 large cracks in one of the window panes. I was totally devastated and demoralized. I took photos and sent them to Andy. He responded right away and stopped by that very evening. He said this happens sometimes with glass and not to worry and that he would look after the repair. He immediately ordered a new pane of glass and put my mind at ease. Within 2 weeks, the problem was resolved. Andy took ownership and responsibility of the issue.

My experience with Andy has been nothing but positive. His level of expertise was enough to convince me he was the right guy for the job. But his handling of the problem and honesty convinced me that he would be the right guy for any job. How often do you come across a guy like this?

We found Solarium Repairs through Homestars. After having read all positive reviews, we contacted them in 2015 to get some work done in our crawl space under our sunroom. Andy was very busy then. This winter in February, one of our front vertical glass had cracked. We contacted Andy who obliged us to come take a look. Having gained confidence from his talk, we contracted him to replace all front glass windows which was a 3 days job. When Andy started work, he found that the main beam and the support post had collapsed due to rotten wood and carpenter ant damage. This was a shocking news to us both in terms of cost and the time its going to take to have it all fixed.

Throughout the work Andy displayed amazing professionalism in explaining to us the extent of damage and the work he is going to perform. He was also very considerate in pricing the total repair. Though it was not cheap, we were fully satisfied with his work, especially his attention to detail and addressing every major/minor issue which came along the way. During the complete project pictures were taken at every step and documented.

Andy with the help of Cory, his young assistant worked through the sweltering heat and humidity of June/July to get this major structural repair done in less than a month. Though we were dealing with Solarium repairs for the first time, we saw the dedication behind the work being performed and were confidant of the outcome.

Its now 2 months since the job was complete and we had some heavy rains. We found no leaks. Thank you Andy for your excellent work. There are no words to express the honesty, dedication professionalism you displayed throughout this major repair project. We wish you all the very best.

I must say that Andy and Cory became friends. Good honest people that do there best to make sure that the repairs and corrections are done properly to eliminate any future problems. Although I would not call them the lowest priced contractor I would call them the best and well worth the money. I believe we will finally not have to worry about leaks and damage in our house because of the solarium. He has done a rebuilt to the solarium and made sure that everything was redone as good as possible. You truly get what you pay for with Andy thank you so much for relieving the stress because of a beautiful but bad built solarium which leaked from the beginning.

We fell in love with the solarium of our home which led us to buy this place but after the crazy winter, we realized that there were a few leaks happening. We called Andy and he quickly came to the rescue. He was really nice, attentive and followed-up. After the first visit, we realized that there were still leaks. Andy came back and re-patched the glass roof. It turned out the water was coming in from somewhere else further up the roof, so Andy came back again and did a water test and finally found the main issue. Thanks Andy! Hoping that the leaks are now done!
