Kitchen, first floor, and basemene renovation
Smooth Renos was referred to us, and we wouldn't hesitate to refer them, as we were very happy with the service throughout the renovation process. At the outset, when we met Nadeem, we could tell he was the contractor for us. He came with many ideas, though rather than trying to sell them, he was trying to get a sense of what we were looking for. We had seen other contractors that were more pushy, and this first meeting was a refreshing change due to Nadeem's genuine nature.
The name of the company and it's slogan "built on quality, backed by referrals" are both very fitting. After our initial visit, we were provided with a quote as well as 6 pages of references. We knew a couple of the people on the list, and they were very willing to show us the work, and gave excellent recommendations. We also called 3 or so others on the list and they also had only positive things to say. Not only that, but people we left messages with actually called us back to give their feedback!
We largely stuck to the budget, aside from some things we decided to add along the way. On this, we were provided with advice on what would make sense to spend money on, and what would not. In terms of timing, the project was largely completed on time, with some slight permitting delays due a slow response time by the city.
In terms of quality, all of the trades that worked on our project provided extremely high quality work, and are also very personable and a pleasure to deal with.
Finally, one thing that we believe sets Smooth Renos apart is the communication. We were constantly in touch with Nadeem on any decisions that needed to be made, and he was very responsive to our questions and was happy to provide advice on the decisions.
We were extremely happy with the end product, and look forward to enjoying it in the years to come.
