chimney rebuild

Our experience with Red Robin was great.
Dave was always responsive, returning calls promptly and available for our multitude of questions. The two gentlement who repaired and actually rebuilt our chimney really were gentlemen and kept our property clean and were careful not to damage plants in our garden. We feel the price was reasonable, the work was top-notch and the people were a pleasure to work with. We will certainly return to Red Robin for any other masonry work that we may require.

Chimney cap, brick replacement

The Red Robin crew did a great job. They went the extra mile to make sure the chimney cap would be strong and indestructible by raccoons. They took the time to find the closest match possible when they replaced some deteriorated bricks on a side wall.

Tuckpointing

This is a great company and I'm glad I used Red Robin to complete the work needed. I obtained 4 quotes for tuckpointing the front and side of our 100+ year old home. Right from the start I was impressed with Dave. He was professonal and courteous and promptly provided a written, detailed, and fairly priced quote. The crew (John & John) arrived on time and it was immediately apparent that they took pride in their work and that their goal was to ensure that I would be completely satisfied with the finished product. I had had some concerns about the matching of the mortar but John did an excellent job of blending the new with the old. The job was done quickly, efficiently and neatly. Several of the neighbors commented on the great job, and I was very pleased with the work. It is refreshing to find a company which is so customer focused and I would not hesitate to use them again. Furthermore, I would highly recommend Red Robin to family and friends.

Parging and Tuckpoint

Joe and Chris did an excellent job parging the foundation of my garage and tuckpointing the bricks around the front door. They had a great eye for detail and took pride in their work. The even repaired some areas that were not stipulated in the original estimate. When asked about this, Joe replied that if they hadn't done those areas, the unrepaired portions would have really stood out and I wouldn't have been happy. Joe and Chris took the time to explain their work and gave some helpful advice for follow up care. I was pleasantly surprised when they were able to finished earlier than expected.

The only small critique I have is that I had to follow up with Dave in order to have the work scheduled. When I did, though, he was quite apologetic and was able to fit me in for the next day.

I would recommend Red Robin Masonry without hesitation.

Replace flagstone porch and repair crumbling mortar between flagstone in another area

We recently employed Red Robin Masonry to rip out an old flagstone porch, replace it with new flagstone, and to repair crumbling mortar in another area of flagstone. We are very pleased with the results. Dave came to our house, assessed the work, and promptly emailed us a description of the work to be completed at a fair price. The project was only delayed by a few days due to uncooperative weather. Dave kept us informed as to when to expect the crew. Every member of this crew was courteous and friendly. Despite extremely hot weather conditions, they successfully removed the old flagstone (including an additional layer that had been hidden below) and installed our lovely new flagstone. After completion, we had some concerns that several of the depressions between the flagstones seemed too deep and might collect water. I emailed Dave on Friday and sure enough a fellow appeared Monday to grind and add more mortar. This alleviated our concerns although he made a point to tell me that Red Robin would keep coming back if we weren't completely satisfied. He said that the company never wants to leave a customer unhappy. We've had numerous contractors at this house but few have demonstrated this kind of work ethic and customer service. We would highly recommend Red Robin Masonry for your next project.

Tuck pointing and parging

Dave arrived promptly and was very thorough with his inspection. I could tell he really knew what he was talking about. He sent a quote off a few days later and we decided to go with them. His crew were terrific. Unlike some other companies we've had in, they were a pleasure to have around the house, always looking out for the kids, and very polite. They even pointed out some additional work that needed doing. I am very pleased with the result and would certainly recommend them to anyone requiring this type of work.

Repairing parging to a 100-year old house.

Red Robin Masonry was quick, efficient and reasonably-priced. They provided a straightforward and realistic estimate. The job was completed quickly, even though there was more patching to be done than appeared at first. They also made every effort to accommodate my work schedule in getting the job completed.

Tuckpointing the old house, replacing bricks

I am glad I selected this company. They quoted the most reasonable price, communicated well, but above all, they did an excellent job matching mortar colours on my house. There were several areas with different colours.
I was paranoid about looks of my house because I could hardly find a house in the neighbourhood where new mortar would blend with old reasonably well. You can see every patch on most houses. So I have stressed this many times, and Dave from Red Robin Masonry was patient enough, and attentive to my concerns. Guys came on time, worked fast and did a great job. Joe is a master in his trade. Thanks, highly recommend.
