Ben and his crew came to do our roof a number of years ago and we were happy with his work and his professionalism. We consequently had him come back to do a much larger job. This time, he made a mess of our roof and it leaked badly within days. Ben did come back to repair the damage and do the job right in a few days but his delay caused us to experience a fair bit of internal water damage that cost us a fair bit of money to repair; he also caused a light inside the house to break. We did not ask Ben for the full cost of the internal repairs but we did ask for partial compensation. Ben paid part of that cost and then, over the next many months--it's now 2 years--kept promising to pay back the remainder of the balance but never did, claiming to be in dire financial straits. He eventually stopped responding to our calls and texts so we finally gave up. We did not want to harm Ben's business, however, so we never made any formal complaints. Tonight, however, we experienced a huge leak in the same place we had problems when he first replaced our roof. That is adding insult to injury, thus we felt compelled to write this. Caveat emptor, as the saying goes.
