We first met Danny from Synergy in March of this year with an idea for hardscaping at our home. The job was to replace an existing patio in both the front and backyard and front walkway. We also needed to have additional hardscaping done on both side walkways. Danny was refered to us by good friends who had recently had work done. We liked their job and proceed to contact Danny for a quote. Danny was quick to schedule an appointment and came fully equipped to help us review the many different options that were available. We had a good idea of what we wanted but just didn’t know how to get there. This is where Danny was able to provide us with the expertise we lacked. He quickly mapped out some ideas and proceeded to book follow up appointments ( I mean a lot…he had patience of steel) to review sample materials and possible designs. We spent A LOT of time with him reviewing our options and often changing our minds. He continued to preserve and work through all of our issues with patience and honest. We never felt rushed or pressured and he always provided us with honest feedback on our ideas. Danny ultimately wanted to make sure we looked at all the pros and cons before finalizing on a design. Once we had finalized on a design we had difficulties decided on the type of stone and colourings. Danny understood our concerns and suggested we take a visit up to the stone manufacturer to look at the combinations of stones that were available. This was awesome as both my husband and I had a hard time seeing how the bigger job was going to look with only seeing 1 or 2 stone samples. Danny arranged this for us. We meet up with a customer service agent at Permacon who spent over 1 hour with us looking at stone combinations. She was extremely patient and very helpful. This visit helped us finally agree on a stone and colour combination. I wanted to ‘love my stone’. Danny worked within our budget always offering many options to ensure we were always comfortable with the costs but yet knew all possibilities. He explained all the costs in a very easy way with no hidden agendas or costs.
The excavation team was prompt, efficient and professional. When I had questions they always stopped to help answer them. We had a landscape plan that changed and it required some trees and additional stones to be placed. The team was able to quickly execute these changes without any issues. They value the customers’ needs, understand and try to accommodate for these on the job. With all the equipment and work that was required they always cleaned up before leaving every day. Everyone on my street was so impressed at how they would leave the job site so tidy. They even swept the street and sideways! When they ran a bit behind they even worked on a Sat to ensure the following team wouldn’t be delayed.
Finally, we got to the actual installation team. Both my husband and I were excited at this point to see the project start to take shape. Sterling’s crew was punctual, personable, fun and worked seamlessly as a team to get the job done. He was meticulous in his work and discussed changes that were necessary because of grading for example. He provided creative solutions to any of the issues that came up on the job where the results really did exceed our expectations. We called him the stone whisperer! We had some changes after the fact that they 100% accommodated for and kept telling us that the customer needs to be happy. That was impressive as it was a first for us to get that type of response to changes. This made us really feel valued as our changes did required additional work from his team which he didn’t even say anything about. He would always make sure we were ok with different parts of the job which was really nice and reassuring. The crew arrived each day happy and worked at a pace I could never have worked even in my 20’s. I mean they were fast….like a well-greased machine. My neighbours commented on how quick they were. Those stones were heavy and they moved them like they were light as feathers.
Throughout the project I had a parade of neighbours all watching the progress and continuously commented on what an amazing job they were doing. Through excavation to install Danny continued to touch base with us to see how it was going and if we were happy. He addressed all of our concerns and/or changes quickly and seamlessly with all teams involved. He was our one point of contact that provided continuity day or night. This is a company that actually cares about their reputation and customers. I have never had the pleasure to work with a sales person on any contracting work we have had done that showed such professionalism and dedication to delivery as Danny. We had several quotes from competitors that came in higher and lower but we chose Synergy because Danny provided us with a level of trust that no other competitor did. For the quality and delivery of our job, Synergy was hands down the best choice we ever made. I would recommend Synergy and specifically Danny to anyone one of my friends or family. I would be confident they would do the job justice and work to exceeding anyone’s expectations.
