We had 146 feet of 48" wood fence intalled, with 1 x 4 red cedar boards, dog eared top, 2 1/2" spacing & 2 pass gates. HI-T gave us the lowest estimate. The price included tax. It took about a week before they started the fence, as they order materials as needed to hold down costs. Putting up the fence itself took about 3 working days. They dug the post holes by hand, to help avoid damage to any unmarked, buried lines. They were able to put in two full days, but bad weather prevented them from finishing. They also reordered some boards because they weren't happy with the quality. To avoid further delays, they took careful measurements & built the gates in their shop while waiting for the weather to clear.
It has been several months since the fence was installed. The fence has gone through one winter with minimum shifting & warping. The gates still open & close easily & properly. We are satisfied with the quality of the workmanship & the price we paid.
