Buyer Beware...By far one of the worst kitchen installation experiences and companies I have ever encountered.
When signing on with Lucvaa, we left a $20000 deposit in October 2020 and we were promised that our kitchen would be finished by the middle of December 2020 which turned out not to be true as our kitchen was finally finalized on March 21 2021 and it took 3 aggravating months of phone calls, emails, escalations, complaining etc. to get them back to finish everything they were supposed to. The only reason why we chose Lucvaa for our kitchen was because they promised to deliver and finalize the installation of our cabinets by the middle of December, and this was important to us as it would allow us to move into our new home on time (we actually paid Lucvaa more than the other companies we received quotes from but our timeline superseded the additional cost that Lucvaa was charging so we decided to proceed). Let me start by saying I should have just waited for the other kitchen company I used in the past and saved myself some money and aggravation as they were much more attentive, realistic and professional in every aspect and less expensive as well.
It all went downhill on the day the kitchen installation was supposed to start. I was advised two days before installation started that the remaining balance of the payment was expected on the delivery date of the kitchen (prior to the completion of installation might I add) and when I mentioned I had a problem with that and that I would pay the balance upon completion, the owner immediately cancelled the delivery of the kitchen, advised his installer to pack his tools and go home. My jaw dropped to the ground as soon as I heard that. Then that was followed by arguing and a yelling match about company policies that we were never made aware of and that only benefit Lucvaa and their pockets and their timelines and not the clients needs. They basically handcuff you into their payment terms after taking a 50% deposit a few months earlier (as if you had not committed to them) and leaving you without a kitchen even though you left a hefty deposit a few months earlier. I was left no other choice but to pay the balance without even seeing one single piece of wood delivered to my house. So I immediately made arrangements and paid the balance on the same day of delivery as they demanded. Then to top the cake, a 2 week installation turned into 3 months of waiting and complaining about defects, unfinished counters, missing, shelves and cutlery dividers etc. Completely unacceptable when demanding those kinds of dollars and payment terms and then not delivering accordingly. Truly unprofessional.
Above and beyond payment terms and timelines and yelling matches, there were many bad measurements taken, poor designs with our bathroom vanity / kitchen cabinets and lots of cabinets that had to be re-manufactured and installed because they did not work in the space or they were damaged right from the factory. There were also many chips, dings, bad edge banding and paint overspray EVERYWHERE!
We also contracted out Lucvaa to source and install our counters and by the end of it all, they just gave up on the coffee bar counter and offered us a $500 refund (which I advised was not enough of a refund) and I was assured that it was. We hired another company who just delivered and installed our new counter and we who charged $1000 to install the counter (which is what I was expecting Lucvaa to refund).
Overall, we were completely disappointed with the level of trust and professionalism that Lucvaa portrayed to us, along with the quality of craftsmanship, timelines were the worst I've seen to date (and we have lived through 3 kitchen renovations over the last few years). There are many better and more reliable choices out there.
