Lawn Service

Last year, I hired Weed Man to service my lawn, but I have got to say, this company has one of the worst services ever! I paid in full amount but never received full service for what I paid for. I contacted them and all I got was a rude reply from the lady who answered the phone and was told that they gave me the service I paid for. Complaining to this company is no use, they basically don't care about their customers. Never again will I turn to this company to service my lawn!

Got billed for service not ordered

I had Weed Man served my lawn last year (2011). The service was not satisfactory and thus I decided not have its service this year.

However, surprising, when I went home today, I saw Weed Man sign on my lawn and its invoice in my mailbox. I called to its customer service and told them that I had only ordered service for last year but not this year. I got a very rude reply that "we do need your confirmation. we will automatically service you and bill you. You must pay or we will send the file to collection agents."

It is an absolute robbery. How can a company force un-ordered service on you to demand payment without even confirming to the customer first. I am going to file this to BBB.

Everyone be alerted - DO NOT DEAL WITH WEED MAN OR YOU WILL GET RIPOFF.

Weed man lawn service

I hired weed man to service my brand new lawn last year and after constant follow up my lawn never showed that I was paying to control the weeds. I just called them today and they admitted that the application process they were using was ineffective and they have modified their application technique. Sucks to be me hope no one else falls for the trap and wastes their money.

worst service

Worst experience in my life.
In 2009, my home had a service with Weedman for lawn care. In may 2010, my family moved to new address and phoned weedman stopping service at old address. however, one year later, the weedman claimed that the service was provided after we moved to my old address. I called the representative several times to explain. This company does not want to correct it and is keeping annoying me by monthly sending bill letters. finally, I faxed formal letter to them requiring stopping doing this. so far there is no sign to change for this weedman.
I believe my experience is not alone. and hope the people who had similar experience contact with me so we can discuss this issue for next step.

Aeration

Weed man is a well known Lawn Care franchise and they have many other good services:
Vital-lawn Granular Fertilizer
Weed Control
Surface Insect Control
Integri-Lawn Moss Control
RootBuilder Core Aeration
Crabgrass Control
Sub-surface Insect Control
Soil Stabilizer Liming Treatment.
They are a bit pricy due to their name, but the service is good.

Weed control for the summer 8 applications

Update got a phone call from Steve Yonge, who was way more clear in explaining the guarantee part (which is if you still see weeds call them and they will make more applications till they are gone) and that part of the fault of why there are no results is because I didn't communicate it earlier and I didn't water my lawn enough.

At least it shows that at some point they do care about customer retention. I just think the guarantee part needs to be more clear and in the process if a technician sees more weeds, to have more applications with having a customer calling them and complaining.

Bring up the customer experience up front, not in the end when people are complaining.

The company is a total scam. I was planning to replace my grass this summer when their sales person knocked on my door and promised me that with their summer program 80% of the weeds will be gone.

By the end of the summer I only had more weeds I wouldn't say 1% of it was gone.

I called them and said I don't want to pay for something so misrepresented at which point they told me that it needs couple of years of service for the weeds to be controlled! That I can't expect to see "instant results".

Didn't make sense at all. I pretended to be a new customer and called them in -again was told that 80% of the weeds will be gone after application.

While I was trying to figure out everything with them and sent them the pictures of my lawn, I was constantly harassed by accounts receivables -when I told them about disconnect in their departments they thought is was a good thing.

Poor customer services, misleading sales and 0 results is why I or anyone know will never ever use them again!

I have already spoken to my customer about this concern this morning, 8:02am till 8:29am. We sell a guarantte and we back it up. We will kill most of your weeds in your lawn and if we don't or you don't see enough of a difference call us and we will reapply the service at no charge. My customer was away all summer and the first time we were called to inform us there was a problem was early Oct. 2011. We left invoices and a health check list recommending seeding, aeration and proper cutting and alot more watering was required for the lawn, with no response. We even followed up with calls from our office with again no response. We reduced the account balance from it's already discounted amount and the account was resolved financially at almost 50% off it's orginal price. I am glade we had a chance to speak this morning and clear up any and all concerns.

fertilizer and weed control package

I paid in full and never receieved full treatment. They promised two application s of fertilizer and 2 applications of weed control on separate occasions. Came once and returned after I complained weed control did nothing and sprayed fiesta once more. after that nothing. When ask ed why they didn't finish the project they stated they hired a guy who scammed them out of hours and offered me 10% discount on this years treatment. This company is a scam.
