Weed Man Ottawa

I hired Weedman to deal with weeds for my front and back yard. Every time they said they did some work, I would come home to find that they would miss parts of my very small yard (ie/ the back yard or the side yard). I would have to call them to return and do the work I paid for. I had also paid for aeration for the front and back and they only did the front. When I complained they said they wouldn't do anything, said I was not telling the truth, and then finally they said they'd give me $16 out fo the $76 as a credit for the following year. Obviously the service is not good enough to go back again. The two women (Melanie and her supposed supervisor) at the office were rude and unhelpful and basically told me they were in charge, their decisions were final, and that I couldn't talk to the owner or general manager. Not at all happy with this company, however they keep calling me every year to go back. When I tell them my experience they say they will look into it and call back but they never do.

This firm is completely ineffective - we've never had more weeds. One application even went on our neighbour's lawn! This has been a waste of time - thank goodness they have a satisfaction guarantee. Because we want our money back!

To be short- extremely decieiving sales. False promises, annoying phone calls. Don't believe when they say no strings attached if you don't like it. The strings come with office people names.
The service is non existent the best.. The worse- you'll pull your weeds MORE after they come. Customer service is just one big "bs"
Am I surprised? No! I've should known better than even talking to them on the phone. You have better chances with "duct cleaning" people.
Either do it yourself or hire a decent gardener!

We had Weed Man take care of our lawn one year. The quality of the work is not the problem, you get what you pay for and the job gets done. However, the staff that they send door to door our terrible, maybe not all of them, but the one that I encountered on the second year is what finished my relationship with the company. Serious attitude problem, argued with me, just terrible. He should of turned around and walked away, but decided to shout obscenities at me while walking away. Very unpleasant experience, would not go back after that.

We had Weedman take care of our lawn last year and we grew more weeds than ever! This year we decided to discontinue the service and they still showed up TWICE when we were not home and left a BILL. I called and told them to stay off my property. I refuse to pay for these bills!!! I will never ever recommend weedman!!!!

I am extremely disappointed with Weedman, I had heard good things from them and decided to give them a shot, not only did their services make my lawn worse, but they had billed me after fertilizing my lawn when no one was home. We told them specifically not to come, yet they did so anyways and left the bill at the front door. Our lawn was CLEARLY in poor shape, and fertilizing would not do a thing without other maintenance beforehand, yet they went ahead and did it without our consent. I called in to inquire about it, but they said I had already scheduled for them to come, which I didn't. They also call and come periodically to check out the lawn and attempt to get us to buy extra services, saying that our lawn was in dire need of care. I also inquired about a grub problem we had in the front lawn previously, they answered with 'nothing we can do' and came back asking if we needed their services a few days later.

Stay away from these guys, they are extremely unreliable. I would not recomment Weedman to anyone.

Do not trust anything you hear from Weed Man Sales or service. When we were deciding on which lawn care service to hire this summer we picked Weed Man because the sales representative told us that if the weeds were not dying that all we had to do was call their office and an inspector would be out within 24 hours. (not true) As well, we were told that they would begin the weed control service right away (we hired them in mid April and they did not apply weed control until May 16th, and that was only after I threatened to cancel their service after multiple calls wondering when they would start. ) After the first application - that did not work - an inspector came out, looked over the job and agreed that it needed to be treated again. He promised that it would be done by yesterday (which was 3 days after his inspection) . When I got home yesterday) it was clear they had not done the job so I called the nasty customer service person who finally let me speak to the office manager. She was unbelievably rude and told me that the reason I had weeds was because my lawn was not thick enough. SHE'S NEVER BEEN TO MY HOUSE. I never had weeds last year!! and all my neighbours are weed free because they were smart and went with a competitor. We fertilize and seed our lawn on a regular basis.
She finally said "what can we do to solve this?" I said I wanted service yesterday and she said "impossible" but that she would send someone today - Saturday, but that would only be weather pending. Another lame attempt to drag this service out over a long weekend ultimately not doing the work until mid to late next week!
How can the competition still get the work done in the same weather conditions??

This was a 6 week project to remove weeds and fertilize the grass. NO results were seen. The company continued to call on a daily basis to offer more services that were "needed" asap. A service man also came to my garden without any notice and left a $56 bill at my door for services I NEVER agreed on. STAY AWAY!!

They were on time for the appointment, They cleaned up after them selves and didn't leave anything for me to do. I would definately use this company rather than going with someone else the next time i need weeds done

The employees that came were very professional and did an efficient job. We have not had any issues with our lawn since they came. We found them to be very affordable and will continue using the company in the future.
