Windows & Doors Installation & Service review in Oakville

We like the style of our door after 6 years. Unfortunately the door sweep is torn. I suppose this is an easy fix to make new again. We get tons of compliments as people walk on the sidewalk.

Hi Rob, This is not a fair review at all. If you needed a service call, a new sweep or whatever the case may be, all you had to do was call us. We are more than fair with everybody. You can be sure that our products are excellent quality and there will be no need to replace your doors at any time in the near future, they will last for years. We did your door 6 years ago and changed the sweep about 5 years ago. We haven't heard of anything since and now you put this review up without even notifying us there's an issue.

6 year wear and tear

Opinions and views are my own and not false facts...
We had a front door and patio door installed about six years ago. Since then the wear is starting to show. The patio door screws are starting to rust, I had to replace the caulking on the outside last year as it did not last, just small things with the patio door.
Our front door is oversized wide. My feelings and not false facts that the owner told me I was stating, are that the three hinges are not exactly doing their job with such a heavy door. I wish I was better advised. The weight may be making the door sag a bit as the original door sweep ripped far side from the hinges. HWDC were good to come out last year when I called them to replace, also to have a window quote done at the same time. I didn't choose to have my 14 windows changed by them. The new sweep has now ripped as well in the same place.
Again the opinions are mine as a consumer and I believe I am entitled to them as I paid a fair amount for the work completed.
If others have had great experience and great work completed by HWDC then good for them and they should speak to it. My experience has not been the best.
I wish I had known about HomeStars when I chose to have my doors changed. I can't believe the tone of the texts that the owner has sent to me after this review went up. What poor taste and professionalism! I should publish them for all to see. Lesson learned by me and I know what to do on my next house.
