i had tormic put in a flexible line to a gas stove. the guys were very friendly, on time and were definitely into their work. the problems were that they tapped off the main gas line at the furnace instead of before it which is against code, also they left a non-official gas tag on the install (a piece of paper with their info on it - this should be an official gas tag from a gas tag book). Further, the day after the install there was the smell of mercaptanes in the house - tormic was prompt to come the next day and discovered a leak in the fitting at the stove. at this point they did a high pressure test that passed. the high pressure test should have been done at the time of install (it was not), only a bubble test. Finally, they installed a long piece of black pipe on the back of the stove that stuck out so far the stove could not be put back to the wall. I asked if this could be fixed and was told that i couldnt. I had the black pipe replaced with a gas flex line coupler by another contractor so that the stove could be pushed back to the wall.
Over-all i think tormic has good intentions but i think they need to work on their quality of work and safty. if i were to hire them again i'd want to ensure i was watching and knew what needed to be done to ensure the job was done properly.
