David and company did a fantastic job redoing the exterior of our home. It makes our house stand out from the other houses in our neighbourhood . I would highly recommend them!

David and his crew are amazing, very professional, knowledgeable and detail oriented. As the work progressed we made changes by listening to their expertise design suggestions. I would highly recommend them. The transformation of our home is beautiful, we are extremely pleased.

After much searching and comparing Home Improvement companies we gave Exterior by Design a call and had David pay us a visit. He took his time and explained in detail exactly what would be done and a close approximation of the time it would take to stucco the second level of our home, including new soffit, fascia and eavestrough. He also gave us quite a number of locations of past jobs done by his people. We checked out several and even spoke to recent satisfied customers. We reached our comfort level and David's people were soon on the job. Both workmen were very professional, always on time and thorough in their craft. It was a great pleasure to see the transformation take place and have our apprehension dissipate as the days went by. We also had trim and sills, pilasters and a bottom border applied, as well as new soffit, fascia and eavestrough. The new look has drawn several neighbourhood compliments already. The insulation added to the walls in the process has also made a difference in sound transmission and comfort level. This past experience has been a very positive one.

We are building a 4,200 sq. ft house and David did the stucco and the stone. At first, we were not sure how professional David was but it turned out to be very professional. The quality of the work is very good. The employees who did the stucco are outstanding. Although doubtful at first, we are happy we took the decision to go ahead with David.

We received 5 quotes for our stucco project (which consisted of 6 smaller areas all around our home where we had rotting wood detailing) and David was the most prepared and professional when providing us with a quote. His pricing was competitive too. He took time to explain the process and showed us the materials that would be used. Our project was delayed getting started, and while that was frustrating/poorly communicated to us (our project was 1 month delayed), we are absolutely happy with the end result. Kamile did all of our stucco work on his own and he was excellent - he took pride in his work, was professional and kept his work area tidy every day. He worked with us on the details of the stucco design and also the colours for trim/stucco. It took 3 weeks to complete our project and Kamile communicated daily to let us know if he had to leave/was running late, etc. We are SO HAPPY with the work... the final caulking details were excellent too. We highly recommend David and Kamile specifically, but encourage you to clearly align on when exactly the work will start! :o)

We looked to David for help with the entire stucco and stone exterior of our house.
It was a sizable investment which we trusted to David on recommendation from people in the neighbourhood which have had an excellent experience with him.
My house was done beautifully. The work started the day it was promised and the crew worked, without interruption, until completion.
As I followed the work, I repeatedly found myself feeling re-assured of the excellent decision we made hiring David. There were no shortcuts, the system was installed to the letter of the specification (with some upgrades I may add) and the workmanship of the crew was amazing.
Looking at homes down the street you can tell which ones were done by David: Nice, perfectly even application, no color fading or streaks, large seamless walls that look the part.
The same can be said about the stone masons. Excellent.
Lastly, his caulking crew finished the job impeccably, they patiently worked with us to find the best color match, and the application was just a "10". Once you see quality work like this one you will never settle for less.
There may be marginally cheaper options in the market, and by very little. Reflecting back on it, the small price differences are quite inconsequential when considering the quality of the work I got, or what it would have cost me to fall in the hands of an low quality contractor.

Our two-story wooden window box was deteriorating due to water damage and we were looking for a long-term no-maintenance solution, while retaining the feel of the original design. Because of the height and design of the window box and trim details, and as an engineer & handy-person, I wanted a contractor who would not cut corners just to get the job done. David and his team worked closely with us to ensure we were satisfied, keeping the work site clean and organized throughout, doing creative work with trim to get the design look we wanted, and final colour matching. David also arranged for roofing work to fix the source of the water damage, trim carpentry and electrical work to finish the work. We are extremely happy with the work, and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending David & his team.

David and his partner Chris are skilled project managers. All trades employed were experienced and very competent. Once started the job was finished quickly to our complete satisfaction. Based on our experience, we highly recommend this company.

They answered all of our questions during the process.The guys Lucus, Stan and Banter were awesome they had total respect for our property, covering decks and areas from debris. The guys who stoned were Charlie and Andy they were equally as good at what they did for us. They all did a fantastic job. We would highly recommend this company to everyone.
