Refuses to repair

After promises to repair warranty issues and have installers check out issues, Tartan wants to cash out their responsibility, see abov.e. The real costs for repairs are wayyyyyy beyond their 11th hour offer.

Disaster of a house

The int buying process makes it sounds like your buying your dream home. The sales. And design centre overall are great. The house however is poorly built. Roof with holes in it. Doors that have gaping spaces. Basement has mould. Absolute cheap materials. The entire house needs to be refinished, from top to bottom. The walls, ceilings, trim, baseboards all an absolute mess. Cracks, dents, unfinished. Different coloured doors, different windows. A few gem pictures as examples that resonate through the entire home. 6 months later and almost nothing completed. Even messaged the president of the company. Seems he’s too busy to respond or care about the quality of homes he’s selling. If you want your dream home.. I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Worst company to deal with

This company uses subpar contractors and materials to build homes. The walls, corners and edges of our new home are all out of proportion. Poor ventilation system installation - air flow does not get to all the rooms, pipes leaking inside the walls, steps on stair case so small that it would not fit more that half your foot, garage door controller completely fell off the ceiling within 2 years.

Calling customer service to book a service appointment was a nightmare. Very rude and condescending staff. I had to give up on trying to get the issues resolved by them.

Worst customer service EVER

Moved in to our new build in November 2018 - less then 2 yrs ago. Noticed that the front step had a few cracks and little crumbling spots. It was mentioned during the walk through but we were told it would be taken care of on our 30 day - it was not written down. Since our 30 day was at the end of December our step was covered in snow and the defect was not visible. We were assured this would be taken care of with our one year deficiency jobs. Significant scaling was noted in February 2019 and it was brought to Tartans attention. Over the course of the year the step continued to deteriorate. Two tradesmen came to look and both gave the distinct impression that they believed there was an issue with the concrete itself. Tartan refuses to budge. They are stating it is because we used salt. We did not. Please see pics attached.

Very slow and rude services, subpar construction quality.

The service is based on flawed ethic guidelines.
From the beginning, we were accosted by friendly and compassionate sales agent. As a newly wed couple, we don't have much cash at our disposal, and the sales agent gave us great rates and assistance for financing process.

But, after the die was cast, we experienced lukewarm service day by day. Maintenance staff came late for EVERY appointment!!! The construction materials are sub-par.

As an engineer, I know the quality of construction is quite bad, even LEAKY!!!! How come they hired engineer and construction foreman with only high school or minimal college degree?

So , it was really a bad experience after all, and even in this pandemic, I can't easily sell the property.

For the others eyeing on this developer, be aware!!!

Worst customer service experience

At the beginning with Sales the communication was great, the way they are presenting everything looks nice and friendly, then the real face appear after that, I found the worst customer service you can get from any builder, the way is toooo rude and lots of excuses to not fix the stuff that have been reported in 30 days report and they were pushing it back to the annual maintenance but again they came after that saying that they won't be fixing them.
Cracks, painting and even water leaking my neighbour informed me too that he has leaking for 4 months now and they haven't did anything against that, just giving excuses and putting him in queue till they his issue fixed.
If you are looking for a home, please my advice go find a reputable builder to do the job for you.

After Sale service is bad

It took almost two years unresolved a small issue, not done so far.
so many reasons to delay fix. no contractor show as promised schedule.
They are so nice for sale, but Very disappointed for the customer service department.

The Worst After Sale Customer Service EVER!

I like my Tartan Home, I think they sell a pretty reasonable product, given it is tract housing, but their after sale service is extremely stressful. The staff are VERY rude, hold all the cards, and as a homeowner I have no course of action but to hear a Tartan employee yell at me. 18 months after sale and "pre-inspection list" is still not done. My 30 day list is not completed, but I would MUCH rather pay to have all work completed by someone else than to have to interact with a Tartan after sale "customer sales" person. This has been the worst experience.

Worst experience with the worst worst customer service

The worst experience ever, If there's rating with negative I would choose, The worst post-closing customer service experience, If you don't believe what I'm saying and don't believe what others were writing I don't mind to post pics of how is the worst quality ever and worst customer service experience.
I'll post everywhere my reviews and pics showing how's the worst experience I have ever got.

If you would live for 6 months waiting for them to fix stuff of 30 days reports then good luck for you dealing with them.

"If you are okay with hearing things like "it's within tolerance", "it's up to code", "it's acceptable", "it's within spec", "it's not what Tarion says" "it's not visible from four feet away" etc, etc...or if you don't particularly care about attention to detail, then you might be happy with a Tartan home. If, on the other hand, you have a bit of a higher expectation from a builder, then you might want to consider looking elsewhere. In my view, the price premium is not justified. "

New home Highbury park

Horrible after sales service, cheap materials highly priced and issues appeared after the first 2 years immediately and no one care from the company, the water penetrated the roof the first week after the first two years and the answered in a very tough tone the warranty expired
