Had an overflowing toilet at 4pm on a Monday which counted as after hours. Was quoted $110 for the after hours visit. Buddy came over and as soon as he arrived he said it was a big job and needed to pick up his co worker. We didn't know at the time that we were already on the clock for both plumbers. He can back 30 mins later with his co worker and tried to figure out where the pipe exited the house. They then removed multiple cotton items which had been flushed and checked the water. They seemed really nice (the plumbers) but there was no conversation about how we were going to pay $110 per plumber and had over $600 in bills. Only for the water to come back up again two days later! We called another company who came over with a camera and said that they had not fully unclogged the toilet. I phoned Bremners back just to say - very kindly - that I felt tricked and paid a lot of money for something that wasn't fully fixed. Also paid for two guys for 2 hours when one of them at most was only on the job for an hour! I was told by their lovely front desk staff (who was kind and did listen to my concerns) the they supervisor would call me back. He never did call me, but offered to refund me a whole $25! I asked the front desk to have him call me directly and still no call from the supervisor. The plumbers themselves were very kind and I don't mean to be rude to them. I don't know if it's their job to disclose rates while on the job but it should be! This was a very poor customer service experience and I will never call them again for work. I will also never refer them and will deter those I know from contacting them.
